Question:
Define the processes that needs automation in Capital Foods Factory. Draw process control
loops for each automation.

Answer:
Step 1:
 In step one we need to automate mixing process.
 All ingredient (sugar, flour, color, eggs, etc.) from store are mixed together
to make a paste for biscuit.
 All required quantities are weighted and put them in mixer.
 From mixing machine it can automatically transferred to a container in
which biscuit get a specific shape by moulds.

Step 2:
 When biscuits get shaped by moulds, some biscuit did not get a proper
shape.
 We can remove these faulty biscuit by a robotic arm.
 This robotic arm use image processing to compare all biscuits with standard
shape and remove dough of faulty biscuits.
 All biscuits that are not faulty then transferred onto baking sheet and
baked for 15-20 mint.

Step 3:
 For cream biscuits we also need automation.
 Design a robotic arm that place biscuit upper layer and lower layers
separately.
 All work is done using image processing.
 Robotic Arm places lower layer at terminal A and after inserting cream
second Arm places upper layer

Step 4:
 In packing section, number of biscuit are separated from incoming stream.
 Desired number of biscuits are separated for each packet.
 These required number of biscuits are placed in packing chunk.
 Weight of each packet is measured.

Step 5:

 Separation of packets for a carton.


 Counting packets in each carton.
 Checking required weight of carton with set point 4.95kg to 5.10kg.

 Due to baking process temperature of industry increases
 We also need automation for controlling overall temperature of industry.
 We us LM35 sensor to control temperature to desired set point.
