What is Ecosystem?

An ecosystem is a community of living organisms in conjunction with

the nonliving components of their environment, interacting as a
system.[2] These biotic and abiotic components are linked together through nutrient
cycles and energy flows.[3] Energy enters the system through photosynthesis and is
incorporated into plant tissue. By feeding on plants and on one-another, animals play an
important role in the movement of matter and energy through the system. They also
influence the quantity of plant and microbial biomass present. By breaking down dead
organic matter, decomposers release carbon back to the atmosphere and
facilitate nutrient cycling by converting nutrients stored in dead biomass back to a form
that can be readily used by plants and other microbes.[4]
Ecosystems are controlled by external and internal factors. External factors such
as climate, parent material which forms the soil and topography, control the overall
structure of an ecosystem but are not themselves influenced by the ecosystem. [5] Unlike
external factors, internal factors are controlled, for example, decomposition, root
competition, shading, disturbance, succession, and the types of species present.

What is the relationship of biosphere, population and community?

Population- a group of the same species that live in one area. This includes

the bison.

Community- multiple populations of different species living in the same area. This

includes the bison, hawk, and snake.

Ecosystem- while a community consists only of the area’s biotic (living) components,

an ecosystem includes both the biotic and abiotic (non-living) components. This

includes the bison, hawk, snake, trees, river and rocks.

1.An ecosystem includes all of the living things (plants, animals, and organisms) in a
given area that interact with each other, as well as the non-living environments
(weather, earth, sun, soil, climate, atmosphere) that surround the living things.
Given that an ecosystem is a community of animals, plants, and microorganisms, a
garden makes up small part of an ecosystem. Some indoor growers refer to their indoor
gardens as ecosystems, in which case they are referring to their growroom's
environment and all of the things that affect their results.

2.An ecosystem is a community of living organisms interacting with one another and
their non-living environment within a particular area. The biosphere is that part of the
earth inhabited by living organisms, including land, ocean and the atmosphere in which
life can exist.
