HS Math SAC + MS Algebra 1


December 7, 2017

i. Reminded should have enough texts for each student. Each student
should be assigned a book.
ii. SLHS needs geometry books
iii. Algebra 1 need 50-55 books
iv. Rachelle created Google Sheet for textbook inventory. On Team Drive.
c. New Algebra/Algebra II texts needed
i. Pearson Successnet (online access to book and resources)
ii. Could a subscription be purchased?
iii. Pearson electronic animal books (bee, fish)

5. Recommendation for # of students w/ IEPs in a class. Algebra 1 numbers are very high.

a. Revised procedure for distributing updated versions of assessments
i. member notes will be returned with updated versions of assessments so
changes can be communicated to department and Special Education,
who may need to change text to speech electronic versions.

b. Teachers would prefer to have an app that also grades/aggregates data; if they
have to re-type their exams anyway into a new format.

k. After teachers experimented: program is not good at higher level math (roots
higher than 2, integrals). Reads equations very awkwardly. Uses language
teachers/students do not use.
