Careem is now a days very famous ride company In


Pakistan.They have a wide range of coustemrs.The information system of
the karim is very simple they invest on it very little and they have a huge
results they don’t borrow or purchase vehical.they offers riders with their
own vehical to register and work with them online with 20% commission of
careem service form ride charges and they cabbies are also satisfied
because they have many coustemers around without bargaining athey
alsohave no limited working hours and rides.They have a very good
network.Al cabbies are connected with through internet and have their
rides.

1. Were New York City cabbies justified in their concern over GPS
tracking in their cabs? Why or why not?

ANS: They are concerned that the GPS system will track their
movements after hours. About 85 percent of New York City cabbies are
independent contractors who own their cab and use it for their personal
transportation while off duty. They are also upset about the $1,300 that
they need to pay for the system and a five percent required fee for every
credit card transaction made by their customers
2. What might New York City’s Taxi & Limousine Commission have
done to create a smoother transition to the new system?
ANS: It has justified the expense to the cab drivers by pointing out the
increase of cab fares over the past two years that doubled driver wages to
$28 an hour on average; an increase that was imposed with promises to
customers for better service and in-cab technologies.so the other driver
also changed the cab system just because of the good system.

CRITICAL THINKING:
1. Many cabbies expressed the opinion that the technology being
installed in their cabs was inevitable, no matter what their opinion. Do
you agree with this assessment? Why or why not?

ANS: yes, I agree with this,it was the good and secure system and
easy for travlling especially for torerist.

2. As a customer of a cab service, would you appreciate the benefits


provided by the new system in New York City? Would it help provide
you with a favorable view of the city in general? List the benefits and
provide your view of each.

ANS: Yes, I really to enjoy this drive.and offcourse I want to visit that
place

1. China is experiencing a rapidly evolving economy. Why do you think
most international businesses are looking to China as both an
opportunity and a threat?

ANS: We will see the both aspect of this,with the passage of the
time the economy of chaina is growing very rapidily and this is the
good opportunity for us and the reason of this is that china can help
us in any business and we can also get idea from the china for the
progress of our country. and the threat is that if china will more
powerful from us maybe it will start try to capture on our country.

2. Yansha has raced to catch up with the latest information systems and
technologies, but remains a local Chinese business. What might
Yansha’s next move be in order to increase its revenue? How might
that move be most successfully taken?

ANS: For a good business yansha need to extend her business on


the international level and need to organize a online system,then he
will become a good businessmen.

1. What benefits do local businesses such as Yansha have over


foreign businesses that come to China to compete. How can those
advantages be used to maintain leadership in a market?

ANS: If we are running a local business we can easily run it and


also we can maintain the quality of our goods,and the last thing is
that we can also maintain our standard in market.

2. What benefits do international businesses have over smaller local


businesses? How can they be used to infiltrate a new market and
take over leadership?

ANS: Internation business is very good we can earn more and


more more because of branches will be in every country but it will
divert our attention from the quality of goods,but overall
international business is very good.

Wall Mart is the gaint retailer in the world.

When?
Wall mart is started its business in USA in 1962.
Early stage:
There was only 15 wal-mart store at the early 1960.It Then
expandes its business having 276 stores in 11 states in the next decade.In
1989 there were 1402 wal- Mart stores.

Today:
Today, 10,185 stores in 27 countries employ 2.2 million
employees,serving more than 176 million customer a year.

Supply Chain Management:


This the most common supply chain
management adopted by most of the companies today.Wal-mart chain
established a simple supply chain management.Wal- Mart supply chain
begins with strategic sourcing to find the best suppliers who can offer the
best price to them.suppliers then ship product to wal-mart distribution
centres where the products are cross docked and then dlivered to wal-Mart
stores.

Example:
RFID is used in supply chain the suppliers,colgate attaches
RFID chips to the products containing the information.The products are
then transported to one of the wal-mart distribution centres.Wal-marts
scans the product,then break them down.the product then transfer to the
wal-mart stores.The information about the supplies is enter into the
computer tracking system.Due to the help of information system we can
easily purchase the all type of things from wal-mart.
