for construction industry.

Hydraulic transportation is an environment

friendly, bulk and distant means of
transportation system and is widely adapted
by industries for transportation of minerals,
ores and industrial wastes in powder form. It
enables energy saving, safe, silent,
ecologically safe, reliable mode of transport
and easy operation and maintenance.
The developed gasifier reactor with length to
diameter ratio of 10 has been adopted to
improvise the mixed flow and plug flow
reactor characteristics. This will ensure full
suspension of powdery biomass/coal in a
vigorous radial mixing condition in the reactor
and achieve high intensity reaction and
gasification which are essential for entrained
flow gasification.

Wetland technology provides a sustainable

wastewater treatment option for various kinds
of polluted wastewater including municipal
wastewater.

This technique helps in municipal sewage

treatment, nallah water treatment,
conservation of water bodies by avoiding
wastewater disposal and commercial or public
utility spaces (airports, railway stations,
complexes)

The technology offers sewage treatment,

rejuvenation of lakes, better surface water
and water body restoration.

Simple process for development of eco-

friendly, highly flexible composite sheet from
dyed trimmings in combination with natural
fibres like jute and cotton using polymeric
binder
CSIR-NEIST has developed a process
technology for making medium density
composite boards from agricultural wastes

Effective efficient way to deal with domestic

waste water.

Important process to tackle the menace of

domestic organic waste with zero waste
discharge.

The process produces pavement blocks of

different shapes and sizes and different
colours and designs. These paving blocks can
be used in pavement, patio, lounge, garden,
park, petrol pumps, etc and are suitable for
light to medium load.

Secure storage of chemical sludge generated

from Common Effluent Treatment Plants
(CETPs) and Effluent Treatment Plants (ETPs).
This secure landfill finds enormous potential
applications for secured disposal of sludge
and solid wastes.
The system is useful for segregating waste
plastics into different value-added polymer
fractions for efficient recycling.

TRI: 5 (Lab Validation)

The approach adopts non-fired green route

and features a chemical transformation of
oxides of iron, alumina, lime and silica bearing
mineral constituents of the materials in
formation of hydrous silicate structures which
follows a pathway of gel formation and
solidification where the product gains binding
strength.
TRI: 9 (Market Launch)

Pilot plant test facilities have been

established to determine basic design
parameters for slurry transportation in a
vertical direction (for steady flow and
pulsatile flow conditions) and horizontal
directions (for high concentration & low
concentration).
TRI: 7 (Technology Demonstration)
Based on the simple plug flow characteristics,
a gas residence time of about 2 second has
been adopted for the gasifier. The gasifier-
reactor attains a temperature in the range of
900-1200 oC to take the advantages of the
kinetics of the process and produce low tar
and char formation. By maintaining a pre-
estimated Equivalent Ratio (ER) of 0.27,
temperature of the partial oxidation can be
varied as per requirement.
TRI: 7 (Technology Demonstration)

The project is very suitable for Indian

conditons and various types of constructed
wetlands are running for treating municipal
wastewater.
TRI: 7 (Technology Demonstration)
Phytorid resembles garden and no mechanical
or electrical machineries such as
aerators/pumps are involved therefore very
low maintenance (about 20% of prevailing
electro/mechanical technologies). This
technology also saves space as compared to
other no-electricity (passive) systems such as
Wastewater Stabilization Ponds (WSP).
