5 Year Plan

My first plan in my 5 year plan is to go to school after high school. I plan to attend

Merced College in the fall of 2019. I chose this specific school because I figured that it would be

easy for me and I wouldn’t have to move away to somewhere far. During college, I plan on

living with my mom. I want to live with her until I finish all 4 years of college or until I have

enough money to move into an apartment. Also, I would find a part-time job so I can be getting

extra money and help me save up faster, especially because I am going to be getting financial

aid.

If I plan on getting a part-time job, I would want to work at a fast food place or clothes

place because it wouldn’t be so hard. Also, I can fit it around my college schedule. I plan to work

as long as I can, hopefully until I move out of merced or until I find a job that would pay more.

First thing I would save up for is a car so I don’t have to ask my mom for rides. I want to find a

job near my house so I don’t ask my mom for rides at all. I can also just ask a friend for rides but

I wouldn’t want to bed giving gas money because it is a waste of my money.

When I get enough money to move out, I would get my own apartment in Merced. I

would want to get the apartment with a friend so we can pay half on everything and it will be

easier. I heard they have the best medical schools there so that is why I want to go there. If I

move out sooner, I would suggest me and the friend I share the apartment with go half on some

things to pay. Of course the rent and food would have to go 50/50. I have signed up for a

program at the college to help me pay for stuff at school. If I want to go out to spend money on

fun stuff I would always have some extra money just to spend on me but important things come

first.
 In more than 5 years, I would then want to move to Los Angeles. I would want to move

to Los Angeles because after my 4 years of college then I have to go to training for my future

career which is a pediatric nurse. A pediatric nurse is in the medical care of children to

adolescents in hospitals or a clinic. I want to become a pediatric nurse to help children and babies

with any illnesses. I first found out about this job when I already knew I wanted to work with

kids but then I also wanted to be in the medical care. I do see myself in more than 5 years getting

the education I need. One medical school I have researched about in Los Angeles is, David

Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. UCLA is a good college so that is a reason why I choose

to go there.

After I get my career as a pediatric nurse, I plan to save up money to get a bigger place in

Los Angeles. I would want to buy a house or either get my house built. I want to get married and

have kids by the age 25. I want to have three kids and make sure they are healthy. If I don’t get

the job I want or my plan doesn’t go right, I will do everything I can to take care of myself and

my family.
