Qi reported that her brother, identified as Kenneth Nelson, called her and told her that he had killed his wife, (MBB did not intially believe what Kenneth was teling her, at which time, Kenneth ii . photograph of @ female lying on the ground in a pool of blood. As soon asi received the text message, she notified police. Police responded to Kenneth an cig residence located at where they made contact with Kenneth. Kenneth had blood on his clothes, forearms and his legs. Kenneth told officers that he and his wife QUMJliphave been married for almost seven years and that he lives there with her and their $-month old. Kenneth said he had killed @JJM and furthermore stated, "| use pocket knives, it was the sound. 1 had to keep going” and additionally, “It wasn’t as satisfying as | thought”. Officers made entry into the home and immediately observed a large amount of blood on the ground in ‘the living room, and hallway area. QM was located in the bedroom in 2 large pool of blood and officers observed @ large number of stab wounds on her upper torso. Qj wes pronounced as deceased on scene. ‘A search warrant was obtained for the home and a bloody, folding black pocket knife was found on the ketchen counter, bloody clothes were found in the bedroom, bloody shoes were found next to the clothes and the soles of the shoes were consistent with numerous bloody shoeprints seen throughout the residence The 9-month (UNNI was found in a playpen in the living room of the home and was unharmed. Neighboring witnesses reported hearing screaming around the time of the incident. (@ki2s questioned and showed officers the picture texted to her by Kenneth, confiming the aforementioned report. Kenneth spoke further with detectives and stated in February of this year, @JJP informed him that she wanted to have a divorce. The two have argued since the “Break up” and today, QB texted Kenneth and advised him that she was taking the baby, packing her stuff and going to stay at a hotel. Kenneth came home and found (JMB packing her belongings in the bedroom. The baby was lying on the bed in the same room. Kenneth does not remember if he and Qj said anything to each other and he proceeded to obtain the black, folding pocket knife from his pocket. Kenneth opened the blade and first cut QAM throat, Kenneth said that he had felt “Hollow” and “Angry” at the time, but could not articulate why he had cut his wife. Kenneth does not remember how many times he stabbed her, but remembers cutting her throat “A lot” and stabbing her in the back. Kenneth thought about “Running” but had nowhere to go and called his daughter MMB, amongst other people, requesting them to come get the baby so she could be safe. Kenneth had a scratch mark on his right arm that he said must have been made by gli curing the altercation
