Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for frontline sales activities for the assigned territories of Tamilnadu & Kerala.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve assigned sales targets
Negotiating price quoted and finalizing the deal in consultation with regional manager Converting enquiries into orders Meet sales productivity and win rate targets Keep up with market developments through formal / informal sources and keep superiors posted Develop and nurture healthy customer relations Updating of sales activity and progress of potential deals as per defined systems Provide necessary technical information for customs clearance Provide support to Credit Collections team for recovery of payment, agency commission and EMD Coach junior members of the team Work closely with marketing to improve funnel health and win rate
Qualifications and Experience
Graduate in Biotechnology, Bio chemistry, Analytical chemistry or life sciences
Post graduate in management from tier 1 business school At least 3 years of experience in in a B2B, commercial/Corporate sales for high value capital products. Knowledge of Tendering is a mandatory requirement Exposure to sales of mass spectrometry or related instruments (GC, LCMS) is highly desirable; experience in sales of high value capital equipment is essential Excellent communication skills (written, oral, presentation) and good command over the English Language Proficiency in MS Office Experience and ability to build relationships, influence people; good negotiation and interpersonal skills Demonstrated experience of being a team player Behavioural Competencies
