An update in the mission
The past three months have been incredibly blessed. Although I often crave the sun and
TexMex, the hospitable people of Kansas have really given me a place that I have been
able to make my home.

Since my previous update, there has been an addition to the number of disciples of God
present at Kansas State. One of the newest disciples is a young lady that I have been
investing in since the begining of the school year, Anna. Anna went to Honduras on
mission with me over spring break. Here she encountered Christ in the poor and claimed
that her desire for God is now greater than her desire for the "worldly" college lifestyle
that she previously chose to live. I have had the pleasure of watching her grow in her love
for God and gain confidence in her ability to share Him with her peers.

In addition, we began a "purity initiative" with the women in discipleship. One of satan's

greatest tactics is to move us towards isolation and tempt us to feel alone and shameful
in our sin. This just perpetuates the cycle of sin. It is because of this that my team and I
want to bring others out of darkness by providing information, establishing
accountability, and leading people to the healing power of God from all past and present
sexual sin. After making the decision to embark on this journey, handfuls of women have
arisen & admitted their addiction to pornography as well as been eager to create a plan
of accountability. The entire goal is to invite people to experience true freedom in
Christ!

These are just two of the many happenings on campus. Thank you for your support
throughout this entire journey. Keep praying for us and be assured of my prayers for you
and your families!
-Bible study girls hangout in backyard
(outside of study to create community)
- 15 students to mission in Honduras
for Spring Break
- Fake Patty's day opt-out party (an
alternative to a huge drinking holiday)
- Celebratory Sonic drinks during Bible
Study to commence a beautiful year
- Roadtrip in the Jeep with girls to
foster authentic friendship
- My discipleship chain (dog-pile) at
our last upper room. Here we cried as
we sent off our seniors with gratitude!
-Anna, the most recent disciple of
Jesus! She said "yes" to my invitation
to follow Him & make disciples of all
nations!
- Catherine getting her hair cut in the
Alpha Xi Delta sorority house. Going
extreme lengths to enter into the lives
of these women!

WhAT noW?
Through much prayer & discernment, I have made the
decision to stay on staff with FOCUS for a third year! The
Lord has made it clear to me that He isn't finished using
me to advance the Gospel by serving on the college
campus. I will continue as the team director at KSU & my
current teammate, Kelly, will be returning with me. We
will receive three first-year missionaries. Please keep our
future team in your prayers as well as my former
teammates; Chad (moving back to LA for work), Clayton
(team director at OSU), & Catherine (entering the
convent with the Sisters of Life in NY). Next stop:
Bismark, ND for FOCUS summer formation where I will
be teaching classes to the incoming missionaries!
