VII VIII. RATIONALE:
In response to the assessed need of science teachers, the SDO-Batangas City shall conduct Division
Seminar Workshop in Conducting Science Investigatory Project at Green Coral Resort on May 16, 2019. The
said training aims to update teachers knowledge and understanding in Conducting Science Investigatory Project
related to principles of scientific methods, statistical treatment of data using SPSS, ethics in conducting
investigatory projects and basic intellectual property. Furthermore, rekindle teachers’ interest to mentor learners
in Scientific Investigation.
IX. OBJECTIVES
The purpose of the training is to:
a. introduce the principles of scientific method of investigation
b. update their skills in Statistics specifically in using SPSS
c. discuss Intellectual Property (IP)
d. sustain commitment in mentoring and sharing best practices and experiences to science
enthusiasts in scientific investigation.
