Assembly overview - catalytic converter


Note

 After working on the exhaust system, ensure that the system is not
under tension and that there is sufficient clearance to the bodywork.
 If necessary, loosen double and single clamps and align silencers
and exhaust pipe so that sufficient clearance is maintained to the
bodywork and the support rings are evenly loaded → Chapter.
 The flexible joint in the front exhaust pipe must not be bent more
than 10° - otherwise it can be damaged.
 Renew seals, gaskets and self-locking nuts.
 EU3 vehicles have a catalytic converter instead of a particulate
filter.
 The following components are not installed on EU3 vehicles.

 Exhaust gas pressure sensor 1 -G450- → Item


 Exhaust temperature sender 3 -G495- → Item
 Exhaust temperature sender 4 -G648- → Item
 Lambda probe -G39- → Item
 Bracket → Item

The flexible joint in the front exhaust pipe must not be bent more than

If the catalytic converter is to be re-installed, a
transportation lock for flexible joint -T10403--arrow- must
always be secured to the flexible joint in the front
exhaust pipe.
