Question 2 (20 Marks )
Occupational Health and Safety inspection was conducted by inspector at Eurotex Industries.
The employer has hazardous chemical substance on site. In the factory employees were
wearing protective equipment such as goggles, safety boots, respirators and earplugs.
Comprehensive risk assessment was done that included all activities and hazards.
It was discovered during the inspection that construction work was being done on the premises
as the factory was being extended by the Replex Construction. Replex Construction had
appointed Duo Electrical on site to do electrical installation work.
2.1: List 3 Conditions when notification construction work has to be submitted and indicate to
whom should the notification be submitted. (4 Marks).

2.5 What is the noise rating limit? Who can do the noise assessment / noise measurement
programme? At what intervals should this assessment be made? And when should the tests be
done on a new employee? (4 Marks)
2.6 For how long should the noise assessment medical surveillance records be kept and the air
monitoring records be kept? (2 Marks)
