Durk Banks also known as Lil Durk is a well known Hip Hop/ Trap artist.

I know you
heard of him at least once especially if your home town is Chicago. Durk was born on Oct 19,
1992, in Chicago, Illinois. He was raised in Englewood ( Chicago’s south side). He started
showing interest in music at a young age and self- released his early mixtapes through his own
OTF label.

Lil Durk’s first song of 2019 called “No Label” is a little different than his other songs and
he was inspired by one of his friends relationship. “Aye it’s so crazy cause I made this song off
another nigga feelings”. When you listen to a song you think about is how the artist is going
through some things thats why he wrote these lyrics but in this song he clearly says how it is
based off of someone else’s feelings. “ We aint talk in a minute, so don't hit me up, when I was
down on my back, you said I aint rich enough”. To me it sounds like the girl was a gold digger
and was only with him for the money and not for who he actually is. “ And I mix my feelings
with prescription drugs”. After a breakup a lot of people start to lean on drugs thinking it is a
gateway. “Bitch, I made you, took you out the hood and I saved you”. He is basically saying how
ungrateful she is because he helped her out the struggle but she couldn't do the same when he
was down.

The first time I heard this song I really loved it. I feel like a lot of people can relate to it
once they break up with their significant other. He raps about real life situations and I find that
very interesting because nowadays people just sing and rap about girls and money. I love how
he changed it up and wrote about someone else’s situation and feelings and not just anyone but
one of his “dogs”. It is a very catchy song and it makes me want to pull up the lyrics and rap
along.
