The UN convention of the law of the seas…. The PH is a state party thereto.

It has modified the treaty of

paris.. that is incorporated as the definition of our national territory in art 1 of the 1935 consti.

At any rate it has a consti status, which will give you a mistrey why it was amended or in effect
derogated by the UN convention by the alaw of the sea. As result of the law of the sea, displacing not
only the treaty of paris, but also 2 other treaties that were also mentioned in the 1935 constitution
(1900 treaty between spain and US adding the southernmost islan d in the PH archi in the southern
batanes group AND treaty 1930 between Britain and US, denominating the bounds in the treaty of paris
as the territorial boundery of the Philippines- demarcated boundery between sulu archipelago and
North Bornea, the protectrate of great Britain.) the bounderies of the treaty of paris surrounding the
Philippines by bounderies called international treaty limits. Which in its southernmost boundery
included the island of los palmas.
