Accessory Point System

1 point for each of your shoes (2 points each if they are embellished, colorful, metallic, or
☐ otherwise statement-making)

☐ 1 point if you have a pretty pedicure that shows


1 point for textured or printed tights or leggings (none for solid neutral tights, leggings or
☐ pantyhose)
1 point for each item of clothing you are wearing. Give yourself 2 points each for any
☐ item with more than one color.

☐ 1 point for a belt


1 point for each ring you are wearing. A wedding set counts as 1 point unless it’s
☐ dramatic, and then give it 2.
1 point each for a watch, bracelet, or bangle. Only add 2 points for multiples of the
☐ same bracelet style (i.e. little beaded bracelets, or Alex & Ani bracelets, for example).
1 point each for a necklace. A set of delicate, layered necklaces count as 1. Very large
☐ necklaces, or those with multiple strands, count as 2.
1 point for a subtle pair of stud earrings. 2 if they are colorful, long, dramatic, or
☐ oversized.
1 point for glasses. 2 if the glasses are colorful, patterned, or otherwise statement-
☐ making.
1 point if you have makeup on. An additional 1 point for a bold lip or dramatic eye
☐ makeup.
1 point if you have statement hair. (For example, hair that frequently invites comments
☐ and compliments, is extreme (very short, long, light, dark) or has an unusual color.
1 point for manicured nails. (Add an additional point if you have a dramatic manicure,
☐ wear your nails very long, or have nail art).

☐ 1 point for your bag if it will be on you the entire time. Otherwise, no points.
1 point for an add-on accessory that is always on you, such as a shawl, wrap, hat, scarf,
☐ or umbrella.

SCORE:
Fewer than 10 Points: You’re a Minimalist. The fewer the accessories, the more impactful they need
to be, so choose chic, high quality pieces that really speak to your personal style.
10-14 Points: You’re a Style Star. You choose and use accessories with aplomb, adding just the right
amount to bring an outfit to life.
15 Points or Higher: You’re a Maximalist. In your mind, nothing succeeds like excess, and you love to
pile on multiple pieces for maximum drama. The challenge for you is to make sure that your layering
accessories artfully, and not haphazardly, so that the effect is intentional and not overdone.
