aka Juice Wrld, began recording music on his cell phone. Juice Wrld has won over millions of
hearts with his creations of unique music that’s appealing to youngsters. At such a young age,
Juice was able to increase his popularity by a high standard, surpassing many other artists. He
seems very seclusive, does not leak out any details of his personal life, but includes his
Juice grew up listening to rock music. His mother was a conservative and very religious,
he wasn’t allowed to listen to hip hop. His first taste to this genre was by playing a video games
like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, and Guitar Hero. By the age of 4, the singer learned how to play
the piano. He also learned how to play the guitar later on. As a teenager, Juice was an addict,
he would get high and smoke cigarettes but as he got older, his health required him to suggest
otherwise. Pop has always been my favorite genre to begin with, while listening to Juice’s
version of pop, my interest has just been increasing rapidly. I love the idea of a slow song with
Many artists choose to write about the euphoric feeling from drugs, they over
exaggerate the well use of medications. Singer Juice prefers to talk about the pros and cons of
drugs. “ Took too many pills, count up the bills, uh, Molly in my cup, I can't tell you how I feel,
uh, Oh, last call”, he conflicts between the dwelling difference of feeling high off drugs but at
the same time questioning his choice of taking them. Music is a transversal language, we can
communicate and unite with one another while listening to it . Juice’s music appeals the most
to me because of the honesty he speaks through his lyrics. His music relates to the many
emotions individuals have, regardless of being high or not. Juice, as I’ve said earlier tends to be
to himself, he seems as though he’s antisocial but his music speaks out loud for him.
“Fast”, might sound like a slow song, but it’s the singing that surpasses many songs I’ve
heard in awhile. It seems as though Juice doesn’t try too much with his voice, yet he manages
to touch mine and many more listeners heart directly. The melody gives a pop style taste, that
makes me just feel like releasing my stress and enjoying Juice’s voice.
The song “Fast” starts off with the portion of sole instruments, creating the base line
melody for his song. He gets right into his story talking about how “time is moving fast” , and
he’s losing track of every moment. Just at the age of 19, Juice has been able to create such a
constant increasing fame and being able to maintain that standard is what’s troubling him. Juice
talks about the sadness that’s still existing in his life, he “get high” when he’s stressed but is the
As the song progresses, Juice gets even more deep into the idea about drugs being a
reason for his faults in life. He talks about being 19 and a runaway from home, regardless he
quotes “It's been months since I felt at home , But it's okay 'cause I'm rich, Psych, I'm still sad as
a bitch, right”. Drugs have not been able to release the anxiety and stress everyone claims to do
so. Being high on drugs caused Juice to change his personality, he says “I don't want nobody to
think that I'm an asshole , I don't try to be mean on purpose, I promise, My mama taught me
better than that, I'll be honest”. Juice quotes in his music that he’s been living “fast, fast, fast”,
growing up way earlier than the rest of the kids around him. His whole idea revolves around the
ahead of him. Songs that have such deep meaning is the style Juice tries to attain. His writing is
odd, might not seem normal but Juice has his ways to communicate with his audience. He sings
by evoking emotions, making listeners intrigued into his music. Fans honestly love his music and
