Plan of Investigation

The general topic for the researcher’s English SBA is ‘Social Media.’ The researcher plans on investigating
on “ Social Media set the space for bullying.” The researcher became interested in this topic after
noticing that a lot of people in the neighborhood are active on social media and so the researcher wants
them to know that social media set the space for bullying.

To successfully complete this investigation, the researcher will undertake the following tasks:

• Select three pieces of material that correspond with this topic

• Meet with group to discuss materials and share information

• Complete the three reflections required

• Plan and present an oral presentation

• Meet with teacher (and group) for individual participation interview and group activity.

• Complete the written report and submit.

As an English student, the researcher expects to develop his understanding of the writers’ techniques
and language, to identify main ideas and to improve his analytical skills.

It can be concluded that the researcher will expand his knowledge that Social Media set the space for
bullying. Whilst researching on this topic, the researcher is concerned that different perspectives on the
topic and accurate information might not be found. The researcher is also concerned that some group
members may not contribute in the discussion. However, the researcher plan to ensure that a range of
relevant material will be found by searching both at the library and on the internet.
