1- Small class size has a lot of benefits for teachers and students. With a reasonable class size,
classroom atmosphere improves, students receive more individualized attention, level of noise
lowers, teachers have flexibility to use different instructional approaches, are able to know the
students better and can offer more extra help and have fewer discipline problems. As big class size
lowers these benefits, it may causes psychological, social and health problems on teachers and
students.
Although the developed countries have solved the problem of crowded class which is one of the
important problems of Turkish education system which is known but not discussed very much, this
problem is not sufficiently emphasized in our country (Yaman, 2006). Especially in the context of
classroom management, teachers who start new duties come from crowded classes at the beginning
of possible anxiety and problems (Seferoğlu, 2004). In Turkey, the lack of the number of existing
schools to be overcrowded schools and classes; crowded classes cause new problems related to the
quality of education. Collaboration between parents and teachers of students in crowded classrooms
is also weak. As a matter of fact, parents can better cooperate with the teachers who know their
children and are closely interested in their development. This situation can be considered as the part
of the crowded classes reflected in the parents' window.
On the other hand, students who are studying in crowded classrooms do not have the opportunity to
have an individual meeting with the teacher after the lesson and they cannot get feedback on their
success. When the assignment is given, the ratio of the library to serve a large number of crowded
student groups in a certain subject decreases. Also the discussion path in the class. It becomes
difficult to clarify the content and purpose of the course (Bakioğlu, 1996). Teachers emphasizes that
students in crowded classrooms have problems in motivation and that extra time is needed to
motivate students.
In crowded classrooms, it is not possible for the teacher to keep the whole class under control.
Considering that several different situations occur at the same time in the classroom, there can be
deviations from the learning activities when there is not enough control (Öztürk, 2003). When we
look at the researches, it is seen that there is a relationship between the number of students and the
success, and that the number of students with a low number of students is higher than that of the
crowded classes (Uludağ and Odacı, 2002; Yıldırım, 2003).

2-The social facilities in the school play a very important role in the school adaptation of the students
and undertake very effective tasks in coordinating the power balances such as school, family and
society. Social opportunities in school, social life, communication
It is one of the most important factors that help in providing necessary support to teachers and
families in dealing with physical, emotional and economic problems such as behavior and negative
attitude and behavior. Unfortunately, in our country, there is insufficient budget for social activities
in schools and schools are insufficient.

3-Research demonstrates that a person’s brain continues to develop until the early 20s. The National
Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) states that underage alcohol consumption may
have negative effects on the brain’s development and alter its structure and function. As a result,
learning problems may arise and a student’s academic performance will be less than optimal.

Marijuana use reduces a person’s capacity for learning, memory, and attention by suppressing the
activity of neurons which are necessary for staying attentive and focused. The worst part is that it
could take days to weeks for these effects to wear off. This is why students who smoke marijuana
everyday suffer from reduced intellectual capacity most, if not, all of the time. Students who
regularly smoked marijuana also had poorer educational outcomes and were less likely to graduate
than those who didn’t smoke marijuana.

widespread and is believed to be a modern education. However, there is no education without
discipline. To take teachers seriously, to insult teachers, to break school rules, to hang school is
fashion. Students are downloaded to their mobile phones and sent to some television channels by
downloading their teacher's trousers, writing on their back, smoking in the class, smoking chairs and
chairs in the class. The respect of the teacher and the school is diminishing. violence and drug use

technology in education makes it easy to understand, materializes many issues, provides access to

In elementary school, students need more help from the teacher, their surroundings are narrow. For
this reason, the number of students in the first classes should be kept low and should be increased
with the class level if necessary. The second variable of the number of students is the method
followed by the course and the type of subject. A larger number of teaching methods can be used in
classes with fewer students. Especially in the reading and mathematics classes draw attention to the
benefit of little students (Basar, 2003).
