Abbreviations:
BOR = beginning of a round
My friend graciously gave me a skein of Brooklyn Tweed Shelter, and a minute I CO = cast on sts using your favorite method such as backwards loop cast on
saw that, it struck me: this would be perfect for a man’s hat, and my DH needs a DPNs = double pointed needles
hat! k = knit
k2tog = knit two stitches together
So, I made a simple, knit and purl hat, nothing fancy but perfectly suitable for my
p = purl
man. p2tog = purl two stitches together
ssk = slip, slip, knit slipped stitches tog
Initially these notes were available as a Blind Knit-A-Long. St/s = stitch/stitches
Repeat rounds 1-8 until hat measures approx. 6.5” (16 cm) from CO.
Crown Shaping
Next round 1: remove BOR marker, p3, place marker, (p1, k1, p5, ssk, p3) to end = 7 sts decr
