If you wish to work permanently, you must use the form Application for

In both cases you must apply at the same time for authorisation for the
enterprise, and you must use the form Application for authorisation for
the enterprise with regard to work on fixed electrical installations.

Additional requirements

Security quality management system


Moreover the enterprise needs to have a certifying body approving the
enterprises security quality management system. This is done by sending
a description of the system to one of the approved certifying bodies,
which will then control the system. Approved certifying bodies can be

Fee
Processing fees are payable both for the application for authorisation for
the enterprise and for the application for working permanently in
Denmark as an individual. There is no processing fee for notification of
temporary and occasional pursuit of profession for individuals.

The fee is DKK 1250 for each application.

Fees should be paid via the Danish Safety Technology Authority’s


website, https://betaling.sik.dk/RMFrontEnd/Default.aspx using an

electronic payment system. The following payment cards may be used:


Dankort, VisaDankort, Visa, MasterCard and Eurocard.

Payment may also be made by cheque made out to Sikkerhedsstyrelsen


(Danish Safety Technology Authority), Nørregade 63, DK-6700 Esbjerg,
Denmark.

The CPR number (civil registration number) should be quoted when


making payment via the electronic payment system. Non-Danish
nationals who do not have a Danish CPR number should instead enter
“1111111118” in the CPR field.

When will I get an answer?


The decision on whether or not to issue an authorisation will be made as
soon as possible after the complete application is received.

Temporary and occasional pursuit of profession:


If you have not heard from the Danish Safety Technology Authority
within one month of us receiving your notification, you may pursue your
profession in Denmark on a temporary or occasional basis for up to one
year following this notification. After one year a new notification is
required.

Working permanently:
The Danish Safety Technology Authority has to give you a reasoned
response to your application within three months of us receiving your
application. This deadline may be extended by one month if difficulties
arise that may lead to a delay.

In case of rejection
If the Danish Safety Technology Authority decides to reject your
application for an authorisation for electrical contractor, the authority will
send you a reasoned notification.

You cannot complain about decisions taken by the Danish Safety


Technology Authority on authorisation as an electrical contractor to
another administrative authority. A rejected personal authorisation may,
however, be brought before the Danish Company Appeals Board in
certain cases: This is possible if authorisation was rejected on the basis of
the applicant having demonstrated, while in another post or profession,
behaviour providing grounds for the assumption that the authorised
enterprise will not be operated responsibly.

The deadline for submitting an appeal is 4 weeks from date on which the
decision was announced. The appeal should be submitted in writing to
the Danish Company Appeals Board. Find contact details below:
