Cake Contract / Policy

Your date becomes reserved only when this “Cake Contract” is drawn up, signed & 50%
booking deposit/down payment is received.

DOWN PAYMENT/DEPOSIT:
A 50% down payment is expected 2 months prior to the wedding/event date. If this contract is
signed within two months of event date, 50% is due upon signing.

FINAL PAYMENT:
Total contract price is due 2 weeks prior to your wedding/event date. The cake will not be made if
final payment has not been received. Late payments may result in substitution or modification to
the order. “Non-Payment” is subject to cancellation.

CAKE CHANGES:
Changes to your cakes size, description, flavors, etc. will be accepted until 2 weeks prior to the
wedding date. After that lockout date we cannot accept any changes. Changes may affect the
price of the cake.
CAKE SET/STAND:
If the cake requires equipment such as columns, cake plates or stand, a Security Deposit must be
left with us at the time of the down payment in order to ensure the safe return of the equipment.
P_____________ paid serve as your equipment/ stand deposit. We will return this Security
Deposit when the equipment and or all pieces of the cake set/stand is returned to CakeSalon
Confections in original condition no later than one week past the event date. Late return or
damaged pieces will result in the forfeit of your deposit and/or full replacement cost of the stand
(whichever is greater).
DELIVERY & SETUP:
We do not charge delivery and set up fee for all wedding/large specialty cakes if delivered within
the city of Baguio. If you need delivery outside of the city, please discuss with us the delivery
locations so that the appropriate delivery fees will be added on top of the cake costs. Delivery
Charges is separate charge and will not be include in the price of your cake. You need to pay this
by cash or any charge at least 2 weeks prior to the event.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
In the event of cancellation: Cakes cancelled 30 days or more prior to the event date will be refunded
with P_____________ deducted for transaction fee for consultation service rendered. Cancellations
received on or with in 20 days prior to the event will be refunded 50% of their payment. Cakes
canceled after the 14-day lockout date will not be refunded and the deposit/down payment will not be
refunded. CakeSalon Confections reserves the right to exercise artistic license in order to guarantee
the structure, visual and creative integrity of a dessert structure.
In the event that something occurs to affect your scheduled wedding / event date – please
contact us to discuss options.
FLOWERS:
We are always more than willing to decorate your cake with fresh flowers or lay your flowers
around the base of the cake at delivery. If you have a specific layout you should give us a sketch
of exact placement. Flowers for the cake, table (or anywhere else) need to be provided by your
florist. If flowers need to be purchased by CakeSalon Confections, the price of the flowers for the
cake will be included in your contracted price. Please be certain to provide examples of the
specific colors and types of flowers you want on your cake. We will also be glad to work with your
florist directly to ensure that everything matches.

ORNAMENTS/ TOPPERS:
Ornaments can be given to CakeSalon Confections between 14-30 days before your wedding or
event. Topping cake with ornaments that are too heavy or not secured properly may cause
damage to your cake. If any party, other than a CakeSalon Confection employee, adds to a cake,
we are not responsible for damage to the ornament or to the cake.
PICKING UP YOUR CAKE:
Picking up your cake is a great way to save money. If you choose to pick up your cake you should
make sure that you have a clean, flat surface to set cake on while driving. Vans, sport utility and any
vehicle that the back seat folds in so the air conditioning can make it to the trunk are the best for
traveling. If you are in a car, the floor is generally safer than the seat. Most of our cakes are either too
large or irregularly shaped to fit in a cake box so you need to take special care to protect them. Once
you leave with the cake it is no longer the responsibility of CakeSalon Confections.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY:
CakeSalon Confections will make every effort to create and safely deliver your cake. However,
CakeSalon Confections cannot be held responsible for anything that should happen to the cake
once delivery is complete. You are responsible for providing an appropriate and secure table and
environment for the cake(s). Cakes are heavy and require a sturdy table and optimal room
temperature. Please note that the direct sunlight and temperature degrees and higher may have
some drastic and adverse effect on any cakes. It is your responsibility to arrange with the venue
an appropriate spot for the cake, out of direct sunlight and away from unnecessary heat. On
Occasions we will photograph our cake, we reserve the right to use any photograph for display or
promotion with out compensation to you. Our products may contain or come in contact with milk,
wheat, nuts, soy and other allergens. You agree to notify your guests of the risk and hold us
harmless for allergic reactions.

CakeSalon Confections promises you the best products and service. It is our wish that by
choosing CakeSalon Confections we can be an important part of your special day. It is always our
goal to more than satisfy you… we want to create the cake of your dreams! However, cake
designs is a creative and organic process, CakeSalon Confections will do its best to replicate and
create your selected design as closely as possible.

Performance of this agreement is contingent upon the ability of CakeSalon Confections to

complete the agreement and is subject to labor disputes, accidents, Act of God and other causes
beyond our control.
