forbidden to operating. Comply with the following points for
attention during welding:
z Turn off the main power switch before welding.
z Cut the terminal of the storage battery to prevent explosion
of it.
z For the wheel loader with ZF control unit, the plug terminal
of computer’s control panel of gear should be disconnected to
prevent that impulse current damages the computer’s control
panel during welding; after repair, make sure that plug terminal
of computer’s control panel connects well according to the
requirement, or the machine can not start and running.
z Clear the paint on the location of (the radius of the circle
around welding spot is 10cm at least) to prevent harmful gases.
If welding on the hydraulic equipments or pipes or the very
close location, the combustible steam and sparks are generated
in the danger of burning or explosion, so avoid welding on the
above locations mentioned.
● When welding, splashing spark directly drop on the rubber
hoses, wires or pipes with pressure, and the pipes may be
ruptured suddenly, the insulating skin of wires may be destroyed,
so cover them with fire resisting shield.
z Wear protective clothing during welding.
z The ventilation of welding place should be fine.
z Clear up all the combustible materials, and prepare fire
extinguisher on working place.
z The changes can not affect the performance, safety and
strength of the vehicles and working devices.

4. Lubricating system
4.1 Lubrication of roller
The correct lubrication can decrease the friction resistance of the
machine components and the abrasion of parts enormously. And
it can ensure service performance of the machine and increase
the service life. The working oil is also lubricant and cooling oil
in the hydraulic system and vibration wheel of the road roller. So,
refueling oil and changing oil period have especially important
significance to the regular service of the road roller.
Lubricating parts and periodic table: refer table 1.
Instructions:
Refuel and change the oil period according to the periodic table
besides the routine checking and refueling before dispatching the
machine everyday. The lubricating cycle is divided into four
types of every 50 hours service, every 200 hours service, every
600 hours service and every 1200 hours service. If the oil has
metamorphosed after check-up, it should be replaced at once. If
the oil metamorphoses in a short period after change, find out
the reason and deal with it in time.
z The particular method of the engine lubrication please refers
to the engine instruction book.
z Inject the lithium base grease into the four joint bearings at
the gyroscopic bearing articulate frame individually though
the four M10×1 oil cups to lubricate. After the injection,
leave a bit of grease on the oil cups to prevent dust coming
into and pollute the grease. If the grease can not come into
the bearing, use the lifting jack to decrease the load of the
bearing, and then inject the grease.
z Signs:

7. Choice of oil
△
! WARNING
z Because of bad operating conditions (high temperature
and high load) and dusty ambient circumstances, oil
easily is deteriorated. Change oil as soon as the oil
deteriorates or is mixed with many impurities.
z Add the specified volume of oil. Either too much or too
little oil may cause problems.
z Clean and replace the relative filters when changing
oil.
7.1.1 Fuel
z Fuel pump is a precision instrument. If the fuel mixes with
water or dirt, the fuel pump will not work normally.
z Never let impurities enter when changing and adding fuel.
z Strictly choose the fuel brand according to this manual.
z The fuel may be frozen at low temperatures (particularly
temperatures lower than -15℃). So it is necessary to change
the kind of fuel according to the environment temperature.
z Always fill the fuel tank full after operating to prevent the
water, which is condensed by the moisture in the air, from
entering the fuel tank.
z If the engine fails to suck fuel or the filters have been just
replaced, drain out the air in the circuit.
7.1.2 Coolant
z If the engine overheats, add coolant until the engine cools
down completely.
z Add coolant to specified level. If the level is too low, it will
cause the overheating of the engine system and the
corrosion of the cooling system.
z Antifreeze is flammable. Keep fire away when adding the
antifreeze.
z Do not use 100% antifreeze as coolant, the concentration of
the specific formula has been in the following table.

7.1.3 Lubricant
z Lubricant is used to reduce noise and prevent wear on the
joint surfaces.
z Joints not included in the manual (connectors, jointing
sleeves) are treated during overhaul. So they do not need be
lubricated. When some parts become inflexible because of
long-term operation, it is necessary to add lubricant.
z Remember to wipe off the overflow lubricant when adding
it.
7.1.4 The Storage of Oil and Fuel
z Prevent water, dirt or other impurities from mixing with the
oil.
z Follow the rule, first in first out, to maintain oil quality
during long-term storage (Use the oil with the longest shell
life).
7.2 Selection of Fuel
7.2.1 Use of fuel
z Use oil according to the brand and the oil content
strictly.(Refer to the table 1.)
z When fulfilling the fuel, hydraulic system working oil
and grease, clean the greaser, container and the part of
filling oil to keep water, dirty mire, sundries from
coming into the oil.
z Refueling various oil liquids must use a filter, except
the grease.

sediment is in it every month, clean the oil filter at the same time.
The diesel engine fuel must be replaced regularly, because the
mechanical impurity in the fuel will increase along with time
going. The reasons of impurities increasing are: the resultant
after oxidation and abrasion of the parts, combustion remnant in
the air cylinder and dust from the outside. When the content of
the impurity reaches 0.4~0.5%, the fuel will become black and
the physicochemical guideline will go bad. Changing fuel should
be in the hot condition.
z Check the cleanliness of the hydraulic fuel periodically. The
method is: take out a few drops of oil from the fuel tank and
drop them onto the 240-mesh filter paper. If a canary circle
appears on the paper, the fuel can keep on using. If the circle is
obvious, the fuel is polluted and need to be replaced. Adding the
fresh fuel must use the oil filter. Do not inject the fuel into the
fuel tank directly. Do not mix several kinds of hydraulic oil to
use. When changing the fuel, the former oil must be cleaned out.

5 Brake System
When the brake pedal is stamped, the compressed air from gas
cylinder enters into the cylinder of the brake booster cylinder
which is mounted on the left side of carriage. The air push the
piston to move in right direction resisting the spring, then the
small piston in the brake oil cylinder is moved and the brake
fluid is forced to enter brake under high pressure. Because the
area of piston in gas cylinder is greater than piston in oil cylinder,
the increased pressure is as 18 times as input pressure. For
example, when the input pressure is 0.8 MPa, the output
pressure is 14.4 MPa.
