Panel-type Filter, Type FP, is intended for air filtration in ventilation and air-conditioning systems; it is most frequently applied as a
pre-filter in function of a dust filter. It can be installed in a wall (vertically) or in a ceiling (horizontally). The FP panel filter consists of
filter cells 610 x 610 mm in size, arranged in rows and columns (along length and height dimension), and an installation frame
with masonry anchors. Construction is made of galvanised steel sheet and profiles. Various filter media are applicable; the most
frequently used are G3 and G4 class filter media acc. to EN 779 (s. 5/S0 brochure). Inlet air velocities, depending on filter
medium selected and permitted pressure drop, range from 0.9 to 2.5 m/s (s. guidelines in 5/S0 brochure). Filter insert change is
performed from the air entry side of the filter ("dirty side").

Panel-type filter, Type FV, with bag filters, is intended for air filtration in ventilation and air-conditioning systems; it is most
frequently installed in a wall (vertically). When installed horizontally (in a ceiling) the filter bags must be hanging. The FV
panel/bag filter consists of bag-type filter cells arranged in rows and columns (along length and height dimension), and an
installation frame with masonry anchors. Basic size of the filter cell is 595 x 595 mm, i.e., 610 x 610 mm when in installation frame.
Half a cell (1/2 cell, 290 x 595 mm) and a quarter of a cell (1/4 cell, 290 x 290 mm) can also be delivered. Length of the filter bag
depends on airflow rate and the type of filter medium. Installation frame is made of galvanised steel sheet and profiles. Various
filter media are applicable; the most frequently used are G4 and F5 class filter media acc. to EN 779 (s. 5/S0 brochure). Energy
efficient operation of an FV filter is achieved at inlet air velocity of around 2.5 m/s and air flow rate of 3250 m3/h per filter cell. Filter
bags are changed from the air entry side of the filter ("dirty side").

Panel-type filter, Type FK, with wedge filters, is intended for air filtration in ventilation and air-conditioning systems, in which it is
most frequently used as a pre-filter. It is generally installed in a wall (vertically). When installed horizontally, wedge filters must be
pointing down to the ground. The FK panel/wedge filter consists of flat filter cells put together in a wedge-form arrangement in
rows and columns along length and height of the installation frame. Dimensions of the front area of the wedge cell are 457.5 x 610
mm. The bearing structure is made of galvanised steel sheet and profiles. Various filter media are applicable; the most frequently
used is G4 class filter medium acc. to EN 779 (s. 5/S0 brochure). Inlet air velocities, depending on filter medium selected and
permitted pressure drop, range from 2 to 5 m/s. Inlet air velocity of 3 m/s should be selected for energy efficient operation of an FK
filter. Filter frames/cells are changed from the air entry side of the filter ("dirty side").

Duct-type filter, Type FKV, with bag filters, is intended for air filtration in ventilation and air-conditioning system, in which it is
installed in tin ducts. The FKV filter consists of cells with filter bags of standardised size, arranged in rows within an installation
frame. Complete set of installation frame with filter cells is laterally slid into the filter casing built in the air duct. The filter casing is
laterally closed by a cover. Free cross-sectional area, i.e., dimensions of the casing are given in the table below. Filter bags are
always oriented vertically (see figure below). The casing is fitted with differential pressure gauge connections for pressure drop
measurements and filter saturation control. Basic size of the filter cell is 595 x 595 mm; half a cell (1/2 cell, 290 x 595 mm) and a
quarter of a cell (1/4 cell, 290 x 290 mm) can also be delivered. Construction is made of galvanised steel sheet and profiles.
Various filter media can be applied; the most frequently used are G5 or F5 class filter media acc. to EN 779 (s. 5/S0 brochure).

Duct-type filter, Type FKN-2, is intended for air filtration in ventilation
and air-conditioning systems, in which it is installed in ducts. The Given:
FKN-2 filter consists of two rows of filter cells that are laterally slid
into the filter casing and set into the inclined position, achieving Duct filter FKN-2; B x H = 1220 x 915 mm
thereby excellent sealing characteristics. The casing is made of Volume flow rate V = 12060 m3/h, at v = 3 m/s
galvanised steel sheet and profiles. Filter inserts of various - G1 to F5 Filter insert class: G4
class - filter media can be applied (s. 5/S0 brochure).
Inlet air velocity depends on filter medium selected and permitted
pressure drop. For the flow resistance relevant is air velocity at the Solution:
frontal (inlet) cross-section of the casing. Filter change/insertion can
be performed laterally, either from left or from right side; the side Diag. p.10:

Combined duct-type filter, Type FKK, is intended for air filtration in ventilation and air-conditioning systems, in which it is installed
in ducts. The FKK filter consists of two sections: flat-type section (R) and wedge-type section (K). Wedge-type section consists of
plane filter cells of size 610 x 610 mm arranged (inclined) in the casing in the form of a wedge. Individual sections R and K can be
ordered and supplied separately. Filter inserts of both sections are laterally slid (inserted) into the two-part casing. Sections are
laterally closed by covers. The casing is fitted with differential pressure gauge connections for pressure drop measurements and
filter saturation control. Differential pressure gauge is supplied only on special request. The two-part casing is made of
galvanised steel sheet and profiles. Filter media - in range from G1 to F5 class - can be applied (s. 5/S0 brochure). As a rule, plane
section R serves as a pre-filter, and wedge section K as a main filter.
Air volume flow rate at inlet cross-section of the FKK filter should be selected so that air velocity gets the value within the range
from 0.8 to 2 m/s.
Void space for filter insertion/change can be on either left or right side of the filter casing; the side required should be specified in
the order.
