Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my interest in the advert for CRM Manager at Uber Eats that I have seen
promoted on LinkedIn and wish to be considered for the role.

I am currently working at Arcadia, where I am a CRM Manager for Dorothy Perkins and Burton
Menswear. In this role, I am responsible for all customer-related marketing activity, ranging from
working with designers on development of creative email campaigns, looking at opportunities for
lead generation, devising key RFM customer segmentation in order to retain customers and drive
revenue and working with Trade teams on promotional strategy and exclusive discounts for both
brands. I also run all app marketing activity across both brands, including business-as-usual push
notifications, triggered pushes (abandon basket, wishlist reminder etc.) and lifecycle push journeys
(welcome, reactivation etc.)

I have primarily worked within email marketing teams, but have working knowledge of all digital
channels, having previously managed the affiliate marketing programme for Burton Menswear and
running all organic social channels in my previous role at Charles Tyrwhitt. This experience has
given me a well-rounded understanding of digital marketing which helps continually inform my
decision-making, ensuring a 360 approach to any strategic ideas I have.

I am expressly interested in this role at Uber Eats as feel it offers a new challenging opportunity. I
believe my retail, trade-driven experience would be advantageous in developing targeted
communications as well my digital-first approach which is something that I believe Uber Eats
champion. I am also comfortable with working with large databases of customers and identifying
opportunities to drive incremental revenue (something I have done at Dorothy Perkins and Burton
where I have identified ‘Super Active’ customers and developed a ‘surprise and delight’ programme
to reward their good behaviour and better retain them as our most valuable customers). I believe I
have fantastic communication skills and work with great attention to detail, something that I believe
I have honed through regularly communicating with millions of customers through daily email
marketing campaigns.

I also have a keen interest in food and am passionate about visiting different restaurants and trying
new foods. I have previously volunteered as a ‘secret diner’ through the company Secret Squirrels
where I visited different chain restaurants and fed back my experiences. I have also set up my own
food Instagram page (@ShouldaWouldaFooda) where I document my experiences of different
restaurants in London that I visit for fun.

I think Uber Eats’ mission to transform the way people eat is really exciting and love the
technology-driven ethos of the company. I am keen to work for a company that recognises
customers’ shift to digital/mobile and uses data to influence decisions.

I am looking to move to Sydney, Australia in September on a one year working holiday visa,
with the aim to resign from my current role at Arcadia at the end of June (I have a 3 month
notice period).
