Mr.S.K.Mohanta

Pitch actuator was swapped from #1 position to #2 position to confirm the snag and
due non availability of a serviceable component. This is a heavy item and require lot
of man power to swap back to #1 position. In addition we will have to sue a new set
of seals. We do not have any manpower to do the same. You may change your
records accordingly.

Dear Sir,

Ref TM , please ensure that the PCU and Prop Actuator which were swapped from
No.1 side of VT-ABA to No.2 side of VT-ABA for snag rectification , should be installed
back to their original position i.e back to no.1 position before releasing the aircraft for
service.

The subject items are monitored items.

This for for kind information and necessary compliance by all concerned.

Dear Sir,

I am presenting my report on VT- ABA Rh. engine change because of p/r snag of " no 2
engine 120% and more during engine start, engine no 2 fuel shut off" and subsequent
inspection by on duty AME, chips were found on MCD. First advice was taken from ATR
France thru mail and on their recommendation of engine change advise and as per
procedure CAM office Kolkata has advised for Rh engine change on VT-ABA . ESN
AC0096 replaced with serviceable ESN 121261( Ex VT-ABB ) along with components
including PCU, HP PUMP and OVSPD GOV,. Engine ground run up carried out as per
schedule observed NH, ITT , FUEL FLOW ,OIL PR , OIL TEMP, normal but NP and TQ not
responding to idle pwr setting ( GI/MAX and FI/ MAX). Above FI, NP and TORQUE
response was very slow. Hence PCU and Prop actuator swapped with No 1 engine, no
significant development was observed. Engine oil system flushed, oil filters inspected. BSI of
hot section and cold section was carried out by P&W representative.
In consultation with P&W representative Fuel Pump and HMU replaced with serviceable
ones. Ground run up carried out with single engine upto 70.0% TQ, found engine No 2
parameters normal and within limit.
Engine performance run up to be carried out with both engine, after No 1 engine prop
actuator installation.
In addition, please remove the broken stud on the angle drive gear box housing cover as
advised also by p&w also.
Thanks and Regards.
