This source was very helpful because it gave an analyzes on why and how to use rhetorical

analysis. The article also explains the internal and external effects or changes given to the

audience. Visualizing or seeing the effects helped me overthink my thesis statement. This article

gave a deeper insight on how all the rhetorical structures include goals, processes, systems,

teams, and even leadership of organization. I understood at the end how all the structures worked

and influenced each ethos, pathos and logos.

Semiotics have always come to my understanding; however, this book had given me a new

perspective into the theory of semiotics. This book gave many references to look up and include

an explanation for each. As well as some of the observations given to the author that include

going deeper in the explanation of signs. The author views the fundamentals throughout the

points of symbolic principles. This helped in write my thesis statement because the symbols

given in the commercial are deep and has to a deeper analysis.

Tyson, Lois. Critical Theory Today: A User- Friendly Guide. Third ed., Routledge, 2015

The Tyson source was very helpful because its analysis multiple theories in many ways. Tyson

creates many sections where semiotics comes to place. It provides individual texts where it states

many examples and explains the importance of each theory. As Tyson uses each theory, he also

incorporates other ideas in each theory to help the reader understand the text better. This source

was very helpful because of the section of semiotics and throughout the book semiotic theory

was in use.
