 Review and preparation of quality plans, quality procedures and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) in
accordance with the project scope and applicable engineering standards.
 Preparation of job methodology in accordance with the project scope and applicable
engineering standards.
 Preparation of procedure qualification record (PQR) and WPS as per ASME SEC IX and project
requirement.
 Conducting welder qualification tests (WQT) for various welding process as per given standards.
 Witnessing NDT (UT/RT/MPT/PT) methods & evaluating it and preparing reports.
 Familiar with RT film interpretation
 Monitoring daily quality tool box (QTB) meeting with quality staff, construction crew & welders
to solve the technical & quality issues.
 Reviewing the spool releasing, check sheet and sending to sites after approving.
 Development and implementation of inspection checklist and reports/formats.
 Checking joints fit up.
 Conducting stage wise welding inspection such as before, during & after welding.
 Performing final inspection and fit up inspection for assuring the alignment, orientation and
dimension of job besides the documentation.
 Ensuring the storage and maintenance of welding consumables.
 Ensure welding is carried out as per specified WPS.
 Monitoring performance of the welders.
 Conducting calibration test of equipment and maintaining the calibration test record.
 Preparing and Maintaining all reports and logs such as final report, NDT reports, welder’s test
reports, calibration report, electrode baking, welder continuity.
 Monitoring weld parameters such as current, voltage, shielding & purging gas, preheat &
interpass temperature with proper equipment with respect to WPS.
 Familiar with PWHT.
 Reviewing final packages for hydro tests approving and releasing for hydro test.
 Familiar with hydro and pneumatic test.
 Prepare punch list, as per P&ID and isometric during mechanical clearance.
