Confidence for Today and Tomorrow.

The Local SecurityNetwork (LSN) by Bosch Security

Systems offers best-in-class security technology. It is
designed to meet the present and future needs of the
user in a cost-effective and reliable way.
Featuring unrivalled flexibility, the LSN combines fire
and intrusion alarm systems. More than 70 fire and
intrusion sensors and interface modules are supported
for a wide range of additional applications.
The LSN offers a complete range of latest-generation
fire and intrusion detectors with active self-monitoring.
It is also easy to integrate existing components and
other peripheral makes.
Conventional detectors, indicator panels, and fixed
extinguisher systems are connected using interface
elements. Equipment for monitored control and feed-
back, such as smoke hatches, automatic door controls,
and sounders/strobes, can also be incorporated into
the LSN.

Benefits
• Minimal maintenance costs through continuous
sensor cable self-monitoring
• Can be used in adverse environmental conditions:
resistant to mechanical and chemical influences,
corrosion, humidity and dust
• Configurable response temperature

FAQ
What kind of sensor cable do I have to use for what
application? Are there any accessories necessary?
In non-aggressive atmosphere with high humidity
use the blue sensor cable (LHD4-SC-BLUE), in
aggressive atmosphere use the black sensor cable
with nylon coating (LHD4-SC-BLACK) or black
sensor cable with woven steel (LHD4-SC-STEEL).
Intermediate connectors and end connectors are
available accessories.
What do I have to consider when monitoring
ex-zones (1, 2, 21, 22)?
You have to install safety barriers between the
sensor cable and control unit. Two safety barriers
per sensor cable are required. The safety barriers
have to be installed outside the hazardous area
(Ex Zone) – located in the near of the control unit
within a separate housing.

FAQ
Which accessories are required?
For the installation you need the sensor cable,
clamp sets with anchor bolts and connectors for
each end of the cable.
What is the optimal distance between the clamps?
The distance between the clams depends on
the environmental conditions. In general, most
projects use a clamp spacing of one meter.
