United States History

Spring 2019
Period 2
GPO: Take Action
Introduction
Ambassador School of Global Leadership
promises to provide a well rounded, safe,
and exemplemary education to all of their
students. Shaping them to be global leaders
and to henceforth build a better future for
generations to come. Students are to leave
prepared and challenged for universities and
social welfare. Hereby, given are ASGL’s
Fourteen Points that guide and assist our
students to adequate success and superior
accomplishments.
Adrian
Point I: Parents must be informed of
changes in regulations and staff as part
of the communicating ideas initiative.
● Having parents/guardians
involved may affect how the
changes may play out and
having the parents informed
keep the school from doing
shady practices.
Jimmy
Point II: If a student violates a school
rule, they should face the consequences
depending on what they did or what
type of harm they cause to an individual.
-The student causing harm for other students will affect the opportunity and rights
to their education. This can be an issue that will be prevented to insure that each
student can have the safety to learn. The consequences can be presented in a
appropriate format that can also provide an easier way to handle issues more
consistent.

Joseph
Point III: To improve school climate,
ASGL should provide a safe campus
for staff and students.
● Appearance of the school building and its classrooms
● School size and ratio of students to teachers in the
classroom
● ASGL should improve organization of classrooms in the
school
● Availability of resources
● Safety and comfort

Kayla and Johana

Point IV: ASGL administration should
value students’ opinions, in making
decisions/changes that affect them.
● If students feel like they have a
voice at school that would improve
the way they advocate for
themselves, and that would make a
more pacific environment at school
by make them feel happy and
appreciated.
Angel and Jorge
Point V: Students should have an equal
opportunity to improve.
● Every student at ASGL should have an equal amount
of opportunity to improve, one way this could be
achieved is that Schools should be able to provide a
wide variety of curriculum classes and teachers
should be able to implement different techniques of
teachings to cater to the students learning abilities.
● Most students will benefit from a wide curriculum
and different teaching techniques because it can
cater to a diverse group of students.

Brian H. and Kevin H.

.
Point VI : Every student must be a leader.
● It is recommended that every student should act

as a leader beginning ninth grade to increase

their capacity. For example, if a student sees a

trash somewhere in the campus, he/she should

pick it up and put it in the trash bin. All students

should be and set examples at school.

Brian P.
Point VII: The liberty to express their
opinions and concerns at an appropriate
time.
● With the increase of political and Social
issues arise, as should the important
discussion of these topics be explained
in a appropriate time as well. As Global
Ambassadors,it is observing global
issues which makes our school more
confident within referring back into our
morals on school campus and the liberty
to express these concise thoughtful
responses in a respectful way. Gilbert
Point VIII: Students should be required to
take the Model U.N. course.
● As a global student from Ambassador School of Global
Leadership, students should at least take one year of
Model U.N. to help them figure out global issues.
● Students should be able to use the GPOs to figure out
what they can do to help people in third-world countries.
● Model U.N. can help students be ready for future
presentations and professionalism.
● As a global student from Ambassador School of Global,
students should take the opportunity to take Model U.N.
because it can help benefit them when applying for
college.
Jonathan
Point IX: Students should help
keep the school clean
● Students should pick up and throw away their trash in the
garbage.
● Students should not litter by throwing paper balls on the
floor.
● Students should put bottles in the recycling bin.
● Students should be responsible for throwing away
garbage.
● Students should keep the school clean for a better
environment
● Students should volunteer to help keep the school clean.
● Students then will have fewer absences and sick days.
Point X: Students should be able to
speak positive solution and take action
to solve problems.
● Students should think outside of the box and solve a problem.
● Peers should encourage student to go out of their comfort zone.
● Make positive solutions by taking action.

Miriam & Carlos .

Point XI: Challenge ourselves
to make the right decisions.
We need to go out and challenge
ourselves to be able to do various things
and be able to interact with other people.
Everyone has to go out of their comfort
zone, whether that is talking to a random
person or doing a small speech in front of
a class. Going out of our comfort zone
can open more options to us and give us
more opportunities for our bright future.
Patrice
Point XII: Students should show mature
behavior in common areas.
● Students shouldn’t run in the hallways, quad, or
other areas on school campus because that they
can cause an accident and other student can get
hurt.
● Teachers and staff should take action and monitor
students actions that disrupt or break school
morals to prevent accidents so no student’s safety
is at risk while walking on campus. Anshuar and Jasmine
Point XIII : Lanyard/ID must be worn
during school hours by all students.

Student must wear their ID/Lanyard going to

school, during school hours, and going home
for their safety. (Emergency phone number
should be included in the information of the
ID).

Alex.
Point XIV: Positive intentions, taking
action, with a better world mindset.
Our school is based on global leadership and requires us to take action in
our community and society to create a small impact. As students, we
should be expected to take action and help our community more than
once and to do it with the thought that it will help others, not to fulfill
service hours we need to complete.

Anne
Conclusion
We must prepare our students to become college and career
ready for the success of their future. We must show that by the
end of their time in ASGL, they are able to express the learnings
that have been taught to them by the school’s rules and
regulations in real life situations. We must entice students to
follow and respect the school’s image by making them believe
that this will benefit their future. We must make our students the
best version they could be until they finish high school. We wish
to maintain and promote our school’s policy and intention for a
bright future ahead of the students. We believe that these given
points through our perspectives will not only strengthen the
school’s image but will also strengthen the foundation of our
students’ future. MEO
