2.Introduction:
Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) also called as Corporate Sustainability is a concept
which suggests that it should be the responsibility of the corporate houses and industries
operating within our society to put some effort and contribute towards the social, economic
and environmental development which will have a positive impact on our society on a large
scale. It has a very broad meaning and addresses areas like Human Rights, Corporate
administration, Health & Safety, Environmental factors, working conditions, employee and
community relations, gender balance etc.
Although CSR has no such fixed definition, however the whole idea of CSR revolves around
the fact that the industries and corporations need to focus and contribute towards its social
responsibilities beyond just making profits. The “CSR” term became popular in late 1960 and
the government made rules and guidelines to regulate the CSR funds, The Companies Act in
forced in 2013 is a major landmark decision which has made India the very first country in
the world to have some specific guidelines to mandate and quantify the CSR expenditures of
the corporations, this act also includes a separate penal provision for industries and
individuals in case of failure to abide by the norms. The basic idea for including CSR was to
involve the industries and corporate houses with the National developmental agenda, and
since then it has been immersed as the formidable part of every business operation. The
corporations are required to form a CSR committee which will have the authority to frame
the relevant policies and is approved by board. The policies include list of CSR activities the
corporation is willing to undertake.
The flow graph drawn below clearly depicts the process and the functionality related to
the CSR:

CSR is a broad concept having various definitions and practices and the way it is understood
and implemented may vary from company to company and also from one country to another.
Hence, Whatever the definition is, the whole purpose of CSR is to put some effort towards
bringing sustainability in society and development.
3.Community Engagement:
Now a day, when we are talking about artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep
learning to automate our task and to reduce the human interference as well as probability of
error, then automation and innovation are the two most important factor where we need to
shift our focus.
In this report we have presented the performance analysis across the various sustainability
parameters, and it also reflects our commitment towards our clients, employees, environment
and the society that we are part of. Our stakeholder’s consultation is one of the major source
of inputs for the identification, planning and management of Social, economic and
environmental impacts and also the risks and opportunities vested in it.

Our performance in various areas has been discussed below:

It has always been our key interest to build up and improve the skill-sets and capabilities of
our employees. For that purpose, we have arranged some internal as well as external
certification programs that employees can choose and get certified on that and we always
keep tracking the total or we can say the average learning effort put by the employees which
categorise up to the senior level.
The total estimated learning effort by our employees for various certification programs over
the last three fiscal years has been shown below:

3.3) Safety and risk management:

Safety and risk management has always been the major concern for us. Risk management
includes the identification of all types of possible hazards for all the operating units within
the working premises. We have also made an arrangement for regular visit and sessions by
physiotherapists to look after the posture maintenance, back care and repetitive strain injuries.
There is also a provision for the training and awareness program which includes mock drills,
classroom sessions, periodic demonstrations and e-learning modules are also circulated to all
the employees to create a sense of awareness among the employees. The table drawn below

and 13,000+ faculties have been covered under this Campus connect initiative, and more than
136 engineering colleges have introduced our program as electives for their students.
