notes
As a point of reference you may want to weigh your skein before you begin, then, weigh it again once you finish
section 1 (increases) so that you have an idea of how many grams you used. You will then need to ensure that you
leave the same amount of yarn to complete section 3 (decreases) with a few extra grams as a safeguard.
We used 31 grams. If your gauge or yarn is different from our sample, then the amount of yarn needed to
complete section 3 will be different than what we used.

Cast on 4 sts.
Row 1 – Sl1k wyib, k3.
Row 2 – Sl1p wyif, p3
Repeat rows 1 & 2 69 more times, or until you have 144 sts on your needle.
*Weigh your yarn and note how many grams were used for this increase section.
Section 2 – Main body worked in stockinette while slipping the first stitch of every row.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 until your piece measures approximately 68” along the long tip edge or until you have enough
yarn to begin your decrease section.
*Weigh your yarn periodically throughout this section to ensure that you keep enough for your decrease section.
You should have the amount you used for section 1 (increases) plus a few extra grams as a safeguard.
