PTA GENERAL ASSEMBLY

NARRATIVE REPORT
June 2, 2018

“It takes a village to raise up a child.”


- African Proverb

The significance of statement above was given emphasis during the conduct of
the first PTA Assembly where a general orientation about the school, its curriculum,
accomplishments, and rules and regulations were discussed. Parent orientation is
done annually to ensure parents and students in having a wider perspective of the
educational milieu. Learning about rules, campus safety and the academics will also
be of practical value to provide a feeling of comfort and security, as well as the potential
for long-lasting linkages among parents and other stakeholders of the school.
The orientation started with a simple program were the ANHS Gymnasium
serves as the venue of the parent participants. Mrs. Rodelyn M. Marasigan, Teacher
-I led the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and this was followed by a prayer
led by Ms. Rosita A. Alivia, Teacher -II. A welcome remark was warmly done by the
newly-appointed Principal – I of Alitagtag National High School, Ms. Janice R. Geli.
“Quality education” is ensured to be given among the students and will served as the
core thrust of the school for the school year. Moreover, Mrs. Zosima A. Abregunda,
PTA President as represented by Mrs. Margie Atienza, Board Member, stated the
accomplishment of the PTA for the school year 2017- 2018.
A Culminating Activity served as the next part of the program. Mrs. Aireen M.
Magundayao led the presentation of accomplishments done by each committee of the
Brigada Eskwela. Representatives for each committee was called to showcase their
achievements:
Advocacy and Campaign- Mr. Sherwin R. Reyes
Resource Mobilization – Mrs. Luz Gutierrez
Administrative and Finance Committee - Mr. Gybee Calales
Program Implementation Committee – Mr. Democrito Jasa
Documentation- Mr. Mark Christian R. Catapang, MAEd.
Another message was delivered by ANHS Head Teacher- I, Mrs. Rosalie L.
Liwanag were she discussed the Zero Collection Policy (DEPEd Order No. 31, s.
2012). She emphasized that the school strongly adhered to the policy; however,
support and assistance is highly appreciated by the school in pursuit of its endeavors.
Ms. Janice R. Geli also delived her State of the School Address (SOSA) that showcase
the school’s achievements and accomplishments for the school year. Mrs. Zenaida
Adan, Canteen Manager was asked to deliver her report of accomplishment and Mr.
Gybee A. Calales for the PTA Financial Statement. This was followed by a discussion
of the School Rules and Regulations by Mrs. Lucia P. Gutierrez, Guidance Counselor;
and afterwards the grading and merit system was conversed by the Master Teacher -
I, Mr. Obet C. Hernandez.
