Scope of the Subject:


This course covers Family and School Fitness Activities. It includes brief historical/origin of Team Sports and Selected Folkdances with Asian Influence:
(Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, and Selected Folkdances) values, skills, experiences and participation in Physical Activities in order to (1) achieve and
maintain health-related fitness (HRF) as well as (2) optimize health in Physical Education (HOPE).
The content of this course is MOVE TO LEARN of Physical Activity as the means for learning, while LEARN to Move, embodies the learning skills,
techniques, acquisition and understanding, that are requisite to participation in a variety of Physical Education activities.

Subject Learning Outcomes:


At the end of the school year, the students will be able to demonstrate:
1. Habitual physical activity participation to achieve and maintain health-enhancing levels of fitness.
2. Competence in movement and motor skills requisite to varied physical activity performances.
3. Valuing Physical Fitness for enjoyment, challenge, social interaction and career opportunities.
4. Understanding various movement concepts, principles, strategies and tactics as they apply to the learning of physical activity especially Sports.

Rules on Tardiness
1. If a student arrives fifteen (15) minutes after the bell, he/she is required to secure the Admission form the Principals Office and present it to the teacher upon entry to the
classroom.
2. The (3) accumulated tardiness is equal to one (1) day absence (DepEd Guidelines)

Rules on Absences
1. After an absence, a written Letter of Excuse by the parent or guardian is required for re-admission to the classroom.
2. Absences excluding those due to hospitalization or official travel/representation have the following sanctions:
A. Continuous absences
Two (2) consecutive days of absence - Written Warning to the student
Three (3) consecutive days of absence – Letter to Parent/Official Guardian
Five (5) consecutive days of absence – Letter to Parent/Official Guardian and Referral to the Guidance Office
Ten (10) or more absences – Letter to Parent/Official Guardian and Disciplinary Contract
B. Accumulated absences
Five (5) accumulated absences – First Warning – Letter to Parent/Official Guardian
Ten (10) accumulated absences – Second Warning - Letter to Parent/Official Guardian and Referral to the Guidance Office
Sixteen (16) accumulated absences – Final Warning - Letter to Parent/Official Guardian, Referral to the Guidance Office and Disciplinary Contract

C. If the student continued to be absent after 16 days of absences, he/she has officially FAILED the subject due to absences.
