As part of your English Learning Process, it is important to get familiar with technical
vocabulary in order to be able to translate short pieces of texts containing technical
information.
After revising the vocabulary in the material “Strategic framework: developing guidelines”,
read the given definitions and complete the following crossword.

1. According to your experience, which steps did you follow to complete the different
translations?
I based myself on the support material offered by SENA and on the different links provided
by the instructor in charge of the evidence, with which I cleared many doubts and I was
able to solve the English work
It is difficult not to select the correct words and at the same time emphasize correctly to
give meaning to what we want to express, the order of the letters can alter their meaning,
there are also words that are written differently and means the same or, for the contrary.
All this causes confusion when translating a text and it is necessary to know the original
text in order to interpret it and have a better idea to be able to transmit the correct
3. What do you think is necessary to do a correct translation?
I could tell that it is not simply a transfer of information and that the translation is not
always perfect, we must know the text which we are going to translate.
4. According to your experience, what is the most difficult aspect about translation?
The most difficult aspect is that when making a translation is equal to the original text, we
must not forget the audience to which it is addressed, respecting the linguistic procedure.
