Introduction:
Shubham Agro Industries, Shirala is a prime industry which
manufacture single plate and double plate cultivator, Duckfoot cultivator,
Plough in Shirala. There are many problems faced by the company which
can be solved by using Industrial tools and techniques. Layout Design is one
of the main problem for productivity.
Plant layout design relies on information about different processes,
space, and machineries. Proper layout design is a complex problem
involving the allocation of limited resources to meet business goals, reduce
operating costs, and promote an effective and productive workplace.

Problem Statement:
There is a improper arrangements of raw material section, different machines, and processes. In
this small scale industry, there is no proper utilization space,not any fixed position of operations. So that
they need proper layout of the workshop. Because of this company can reduce their costs and time also
improve the efficiency of their Production by maximizing the space utilization and line balancing,

Solution for Problem:

To solve this problem,We are designing plant layout for their workshop
as per requirements .It reduces the cost, time also it is also safe for the workers
in the workshop.
In this workshop there is no space is available because too much raw
material is placed in the shop. There are three raw material section at different
location which is time consuming and worker has to move toward both the
sections for collecting the raw material.

Sheet Bending, Pressing, Cutting, Welding and Painting are the main
processes in the workshop. During operation there is backtracking occurs most
of the time. In the workshop there is no fixed sections or departments are
available. They can do their work wherever the space is available. So we
provide new layout design which gives proper sequencing and positions.

In the new layout there is no backtracking of the material .Because of the

new layout complete space is utilized. In this layout continuous operations are
done by the worker
Conclusion:
The cost of the land, building, machinery, labor and the items stored in
the workshop can amount to a significant sum of money Hence by improving
layout Company reduced their costs and improve the efficiency of production.
