RESUMEN:
Esta revisión contiene una selección de la información concerniente a la situación forestal que
existe en el Ecuador ya que cuenta con una riqueza natural que permite definirlo como un país
“megadiverso” por lo que orienta sus esfuerzos a la preservación, protección y manejo sustentable
de sus recursos naturales con enfoque social, ambiental y económico. El Ecuador tiene una
superficie terrestre de aproximadamente (277.000 km2) de las cuales, se estima que (144.040 km2.)
