In the weeks leading
up to the tournament,
the Glasgow Chamber of
Commerce announced a
“New” event in conjunction
with the Catfish Classic.

A family tradition
Harold Dohlen, at right, was presented an award from the National Weather
Service in Glasgow for 10 years of service. Mr. Dohlen’s family has
continuously recorded the high and low temperature, and daily precipitation
for almost a century. H. O. Dohlen, Harold’s grandfather, began taking
weather observations in Opheim in 1930. Harold’s father, Erling, took over
the station in 1958 and moved it to his farm a few miles southeast of Opheim
