INTRODUCTION

A. Brief Background

Trash... Did you know that people and industry produced more than 236
million tons of waste in 2003, which is more than four pounds of trash per person
per day? Wow, that's a lot of garbage!

What are some different ways to dispose of trash? The most

environmentally friendly ways to dispose of trash are to reduce, reuse, recycle
and compost. We call these 3RC. These are the first four steps in "integrated
waste management." This means that you try to reduce the amount of garbage
by the first step (reduce) and with what garbage is left, you venture onto the next
step (recycle), and so on, until the garbage or waste is all gone. The key is to
have barely any waste left when reaching the last step.

We have certainly heard of the Three R’s as they relate to sustainability

– Reduce, Reuse and Recycle – but do you know where the slogan came from or
why? Being green is definitely the norm nowadays, but the creation of this
popular phrase, logo and practice can certainly be viewed as one of the main
catalysts for the environmental movement as a whole. And while the Three R’s
have definitely influenced society to be more conscientious of our planet’s health,
there is still much to be done

B. Objective of the Study

This study aims to discover the following: Perceptions of the student about
segregation, if recycling (3Rs) is beneficial, and should students have seminar
about 3Rs. This survey also aims to determine reasons why we need to
segregate wastes.
C. Significance of the Study

The study is significant to the following:

Students. By maintaining the 3Rs, it helps out the students to improve paper
management to reduce paper wastage.

Teachers. By durable goods that have long warranty. They generally run longer
and save landfill space.

School. It helps to improve the cleanliness and the environment of our school.

Future Researchers. This study would help the student researcher to be aware
and knowledgable of the processes involved in the 3R’s (Reuse, Reduce,
Recycle) it would help them to be a better analsyt and it can be a help as a future
reference for more studies in the future.

D. Literature Review

According to Marni Evans at the yer of December 30,2018. He said that billion of
cans, glass bottles and jars and million of plastic, metal jar and can covers. Most
of the waste are packaging materials.Instead of having a big amount ofgarbage
sent into dumping or landfill area. We must do reduce, reuse and recycle.

According to KKML YONG at the month of 2014, he states that the sustainable
solution us to close the sold waste loop by minimizing waste and maximizing
recycling. By the study of this documents and evaluates the social studies.

According to Pia Ranada there are more platforms finding creative ways to make
the 3R’s easier to do and more preferable other users can search for the
itemsand other to take them off the owner’s hands for free.
According to Anelle tayarjuego he said that the sadly to say that Filipinos are
slow to adopt a recycling culture so the concern of Dole Philippines is to
influence every community should adopt 3R’s and change mindsets about proper
waste management.

According to Architect, Felino A. Pelafox Jr. at December 7, 2017, Besides of

3R’s Reuse, Reduce, Recycle. Felino added Refuse – to add to the pollution, and
refuse unhealthy practices. And other form of waste direction requirements
recycling of biodegradable and non- bio gradable materials.

According to David Chander at the year of December 17, 2018 he said that
complains amounts of garbage resulting to adopt and promote an approach to
the waste problem summarize by the phase “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle”

According to Andrea Peck at the year of December 17, 2018 she said that some
of the result for our population growth she excessive consumption and the effect
of pollution nature to people conduct their lives. Reduce, Reuse and Recycle

According to Esha Venchat at the year of December 31, 2016 she states that
pollution and pollutants will over populate the Earth weather it is air, water or land
pollution. The land fill will become too toxic from all from all the chemicals
scanning out of Styrofoam and etc.
