Warm greetings!

The 2019 National Folk Dance Workshop (NFDW) on May 20 to 24, 2019 at the Folk Arts Theater,
CCP Complex, Pasay City is fast approaching. This year, our society will celebrate the 70th Founding
Anniversary of the Philippine Folk Dance Society (PFDS).

This year, PFDS is partnering with the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), the National
Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), the City College of Angeles (CCA), the Philippine
Normal University Institute of Physical Education, Health, Recreation, Dance, and Sports (IPHERDS)
and with the Kaloob Philippine Music and Dance Ministry.

The 5-day workshop includes dance sessions, panel discussion, lecture-demonstrations, fora, street
dance, cultural shows, regional presentations, city/cultural tour and a culminating showcase by all the
participants. This will be highlighted by the Gawad Sayaw Diamante Awards in recognition of the
PFDS active life time members, dance researchers, contributors and partner agencies and institutions.

In this connection, we would like to inform you to send nominations for LOYALTY AWARDEES
among active life time members from your organization whom you know has attended the NFDW
from 1998 to 2018.

Furthermore, all participants of this year’s NFDW are enjoined to wear Filipiniana Attire during the
night of awarding ceremonies which will be on May 21, 2019.
