DId you know many parents in the U.S are arguing about vaccines? There are still many
parents fighting about if children should get vaccinated or not but I think that childhood
vaccination is a must because your child will be healthy, it will also save your time, and it will
save future generations. There are parents who say that vaccines are bad for their kids and it
causes autism. MMR is a common vaccine to parents who think it causes autism.

To begin with, Vaccines have been saving many lives from deadly diseases like
smallpox, for example, vaccines got rid of smallpox and before everyone had to get vaccines
just for it because it was a very deadly disease. “Smallpox, measles, and whooping cough were
terribly common in the 1500s, with outbreaks recorded around the world. Contagious diseases
like these spread quickly, especially in crowded, dirty cities.” Luckily vaccines got rid of all of
those diseases, and without them, these diseases will have still be here infecting
everyone.”Since 1995, five new vaccines were added to the children’s immunization schedule in
the U.S., which the CDC estimated saved thousands of lives.” As years progress, newer
vaccines that fight diseases are being made and are used to keep kids safe and healthy.

Additionally, vaccines don't just only keep your child healthy but it will save your time and
money. Children get sick often and it takes a lot to care for them when sick, especially when
they're really sick. You will need to arrange a visit to the doctor/hospital and pay for the bill or
get/buy your child some medicine so they can get well. “For every $1 spent on childhood
vaccinations, our country saves $10.90. And CDC estimates that for the vaccination of children
born between 1994 and 2018 has saved the U.S. nearly $406 billion in direct medical costs and
$1.88 trillion in total society costs... however, each year our country spends nearly $27 billion
treating adults for diseases that could have easily been prevented through vaccinations.” It's
better to get vaccinated then going to the doctor to get treated every time you get sick.

Saving future generations is a big step for vaccines. Vaccines can get rid of and protect
humans from smallpox, mumps, whooping cough, measles, polio, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B,
Rubella, Influenza, and many more. “While existing vaccines continue to be improved and
distributed, the scientific community continues to work on a few difficult diseases.” This still
means that vaccines t are still safe and will still help but not as much, buts that the main goal for
these scientists, to make vaccines better. However, APIC Associations for professionals in
infection control and epidemiology, states that “some people may experience minor side effects
that go away within a few days. Possible side effects are sore arms, low-grade fever, or redness
around the injection site.” But overall vaccines are safe to get and aren’t harmful in any way.
In the end many parents today still argue about if they should give their child vaccines or
not. Some saying that it's good for children, that you will save money and it will change the
future by getting rid of deadly diseases, but for parents who are against vaccination say that it
causes health problems like autism. Today no one knows how autism is caused and it's been
unknown even before MMR vaccines which parents who are anti-vaccination know as a very
common vaccine to “cause autism”. But some parents aren't aware of what vaccines actually do
and how they can help you and your children to stay healthy and stay protected from harmful
diseases.
