Some people think that immigrants shouldn’t have equal rights. Immigrant should be able to have the same rights as every other citizen in the U.S.
In the text it says “As a result, people who are perceived as looking or sounding foreign – whether or not they are here legally or are U.S. citizens –
are refused employment, medical treatment and housing and are harassed by the police.” In the image above the people are protesting that they
have the right to a education and a future just like any other human. Though other people think otherwise like when it says “American law and
policy will discriminate in favor of most immigrants — those of favored races such as blacks and Hispanics — and their children, and their
children’s children.” It is being said that immigrants already have enough rights and the law is in favor for them. Though immigrants are suffering
to find a job, education, and a home to live in because many people are against immigrants, which is why they should be treated equally as every
other person. Immigrants deserve to have equal rights and be treated the same.
