Martín García León was born in 1990 in General Roca city, a small city located at the
North of Patagonia Argentina.
He started his interest on music from a very early age. Begins his formal studying
on piano at the age of 14 years old at I.U.P.A. (Instituto universitario patagónico de las artes). Five
years latter decides to continue his academic formation like an Orchestra conductor in Buenos Aires
at U.N.A. (Universidad nacional de artes) Where he got influence from several Maestros like: Luis
Gorelik (Orchestral conducting), Jordi Mora (orchestral conducting), Ernest Hoetzl
(orchestral conducting), Mario Benzecry (orchestral conducting), and Manuel Massone at piano,
getting a Bachelor degree in Orchestral Conducting.
During five years in Buenos Aires Martín García León was assistant conductor at
Camerata Santa Cecilia, conducts on several occasions the "Carlos Bertazza" symphony
orchestra, and participates on several concerts along his country. In 2018 was conducting the Saint
Petersburg Symphony Orchestra with the support and teaching of Maestro Alexander Polyanichko.
Conduct at the festival of contemporary music Disat Terra music festival organized by the Antiqua
Nova foundation in Choele Choel (Argentinian Patagonia), making the world premiere of several
works of Mariano Etkin, Cecilia Villanueva, and Jose Sciarrino between others. He has recently back
to Argentina from Cusco Peru where he gives a Masterclass about Orchestral conducting been an
honorific invited by the Universidad Nacional Diego Quispe TIto, and arranged a concert with the
Symphonic orchestra of Cusco for 2020 season

As a Music researcher he elaborates a study methodology for orchestral works where


it is explained the functionality of every each instrument of the orchestra along the whole work with a
color system. And in 2016 he founded the "Musica para todos" project who pretends translate every
sound from an orchestral piece in colors figures and traces pretending that deaf persons and
hipoacusic persons can understand and enjoy the enormous world of music.

He actually resides in General Roca making his contribution to I.U.P.A like a college
Professor and develop his own carrier like a freelance conductor. Next to travel to the city of Hanoi
(Vietnam) where like an invited conductor by the VNOB (Vietnamese national orchestra of opera and
ballet) will perform the opening season concert at the Hanoi Opera House as well as a repetition of
the concert the 8th and 9th of June of 2019
