RESOLUTION NO. ​05

Series of 2018-2019

Promulgated:

A RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE NOMINEE FOR ASCO COMELEC MODERATOR FOR

SY 2019-2020 TO THE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL DIRECTOR

ACTING, ​pursuant to Article XIII, Section 5 of the Constitution which states: “The ASCO COMELEC
Adviser shall be endorsed to the Senior High School Director from among the three (3)
teacher-nominees submitted by the ASCO COMELEC Chair through a resolution”;

GUIDED​, by Article XIII, Section 6 of the Constitution which states that the nominee shall: “have
experience in organizational management; with good character and reputation in the school
community; and must be non-partisan and experienced in handling student government” and from
the ASCO COMELEC Standard Election Code which states that “he or she shall not hold nor
have held any position as an adviser of ASCO”;

HAS DECIDED, ​to only endorse one (1) teacher-nominee

NOW THEREFORE, ​after consultation with the En Banc through accessible means and with the
concurrence of the Coordinator for Student Activities (CSA) and the Assistant Director for
Formation and Student Services (ADFSS) to endorse to the Senior High School Director the
nominee:

MR. JUSTICE DOROTEO C. VALENCIANO

for reappointment as Moderator of the ASCO COMELEC
for School Year 2019-2020

RECOGNISING, ​no other faculty member can eclipse, if not equate, the nominee’s motivation and drive
in cooperating with the ASCO-COMELEC commissioners, and volunteers which greatly helped
in the organization’s efficacy in serving the student-body.

RECALLING, ​that the nominee has consistently demonstrated his knowledge, ability, and skills to guide
the organization towards its different thrusts and has played part in the success of the first and
second ASCO General Elections under his guidance and supervision

WHEREFORE, ​as a faculty in the Senior High School, and as the sole member of the Social Sciences
Cluster, and the incumbent moderator of the ASCO COMELEC, no one can be more qualified in
the position of moderator.

BE IT RESOLVED, THAT I, JOACHIM LAMBERTO O. PASTORAL, ​Chair of the ASCO

COMELEC, by mandate of the Constitution and By-Laws of the Ateneo Student Council
Organization and of its Commission on Elections, do hereby endorse to the Senior High School
Director the nominee for reappointment as Moderator of the ASCO COMELEC for the School
Year 2019-2020.

LET COPIES ​of this resolution be furnished to the Nominee, the Editors-in-Chief of the Kurit Bulawan,
the Commissioners of the ASCO COMELEC, the President of the Ateneo Student Council
Organization, for their information, and to the Coordinator for Student Affairs, the Assistant
Directors for Formation & Student Services and Curriculum & Instruction, for their concurrence,
and to the Senior High School Director, for his response.

FURTHERMORE, ​the Commissioner on Public Information is so directed to post copies of this

resolution in three (3) conspicuous places in campus for a period of three (3) school days.
