Dear Madame:
This morning, Mr. Eric Smith, teacher of Sorsogon National High School, told me
that you are in need of tutors this summer. Please consider me an applicant for the
job position. I want to work this summer to add to my savings for a college
education.
I shall be eighteen years old next week. I shall be finishing my year eleven of
secondary education this April. I am five feet tall and weigh 130 pounds. My health
is very good. I have not missed a day of school this year. I am a dedicated and
motivated student learner and aspires to share the knowledge to fellow young
learners upholding enthusiasm and professionalism.
Last summer, I worked as a part-time tutor at the Ives Abode Tutorial Center where
I gained experience in meeting tutees and teaching basic elementary and high school
subjects. I know how important it is to make the students motivated to finish
worksheets and accurately plan creative teaching techniques, and I am sure I could
do the job to your satisfaction.
