Engineering software Lenze Engineer will support you in every phase of your
project.
The Lenze Engineer software features an operator interface which has been tailored
specifically to meet practical requirements.
Graphical interfaces facilitate drive configuration and parameter setting.

Installation of Software
===================================================================

Please close all Lenze software. Start the installation with a double-click
on the file 'Setup.exe'. For installation administration rights are required.

At www.lenze.com in the menu button for Services & Downloads


you can check whether a service pack is available for this version of Engineer.

The software can also be installed in silent mode.


In this mode no user interaction during installation procedure is necessary.

The software can also be installed in "silent mode" using command line interface.
In this mode no user interaction during installation procedure is necessary.
The .Net Framework 4.0 from Microsoft is required. In "silent mode" the system will
be
restarted automatically if necessary.

For installation in silent mode it is possible either to use a configuration file


or to enter
necessary inputs directly to the command line. Do not use both option together.

1.) Options for silent mode installation

/S /M="<full path>input.cfg" (required) installation in silent mode with


configuration file
(GUIs of the setup program are invisible)
i.e.:
"C:\full path\setup.exe" /S /M="C:\my folder\input.cfg"

entries in file input.cfg:

SI_DIRECTORY (optional) directory for installation

communication driver

SI_NAME (required) Name of the licensee

SI_COMPANY (required) Company of the licensee

SI_SUPERSILENT (optional) deactivating of all error messages


(0=errors are not indicated; 1=errors are indicated)
i.e.:

SI_NORESTART(optional) deactivating restart after silent installation


(1=no restart after silent installation)

SI_NOPACKAGEUPDATE(optional) deactivating automatic start of


packageupdate after silent installation
(1=no automatically package update after silent installation)

2.) Options for Installation in "silent mode" using command line interface

/s (required) Installation starting in "silent mode" (quiet)

/lic <License> (optional) valid license.

/user (required) user name

/company (required) company name

/nopackageupdate (optional) no automatic start of package update

Options for standard installation (only if /s is not set)

/lic <Lizenznummer> The setup attempts to use the specified license number.
e.g. setup.exe /lic xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx
Only in case of incorrect license number you will be
asked
during the setup to re-enter optional.

/nopackageupdate (optional) no automatic start of package update


e.g.: /nopackageupdate

/norestart (optional) no automatic restart after installation


e.g.: /norestart

Installing of additional software components (service pack or addon)
===================================================================

It is possible to install a service pack or addOn automatically directly


after the installation of the engineer.

For this it is recommended to put the files of the package you want
to install to the provided folder.

folder name for servicepack: \ServicePack


folder name for AddOn: \AddOn

Note:
The call of the additional component occurs with the options of the
Engineer installation if the component supports this mode.
