3. Abstraction

1. China has different folktales that feature their values and traditions.
2. China, Japan, and Philippines have many examples of oral literature.
3. For the Japanese, happiness can be achieved in simple things.
4. For Asians, shame and honor go far beyond the individual, and reflect directly upon family,
nation, or other group, and so is taken very seriously.
5. The Philippines, China and Japan have traditions that are influenced by religion.

Present an exhibit that reflects the tradition and values on selected Afro-Asian countries.

V. Assignment ¼ sheet of paper

Conduct an online or library research to come up with a comprehensive view of the unifying and
distinctive characteristics, values and traditions of the people of China, Japan and Philippines.
