5 AN ORDINANCE TEMPORARILY CLOSING DARIUK HILLS, BALINTOCATOC
6 SANTIAGO CITY, ON NOVEMBER 15 -17, 2018, FOR THE HOLDING OF JUNIOR
7 AND SENIOR GSP CITY CAMP 2018.

13 WHEREAS, the Local Government Code of 1991 provides, among others, under Section
14 21 (a), and (c), to wit:
15
16 “Closure of Roads – (a) A local government unit may. Pursuant to an
17 ordinance, permanently or temporarily close or open any local road, alley, park,
18 or square falling within its jurisdiction xxx;
19 (c)Any national or local road, alley, park, or square may be temporarily closed
20 during an actual emergency, or fiesta celebrations, public rallies, agricultural or
21 industrial fairs, or an undertaking of public works and highways,
22 telecommunications, and water works projects, the duration of which shall be
23 specified by the local chief executive concerned in a written order: xxx”;

25 WHEREAS, the JUNIOR AND SENIOR GSP CITY CAMP 2018 aims to:
26 1. Develop young girls to become responsible citizens;
27 2. Prepare the girls to become friendly, passionate leaders and ready for the Provincial
28 Camp 2018;
29 3. Provide experiences that help the girls appreciate themselves and the life they have.

31 WHEREAS, in order to accommodate participants, family members, friends, and relatives
32 who will attend and or visit the JUNIOR AND SENIOR GSP CITY CAMP 2018, certain structures
33 and security measures will be set-up and implemented at DARIUK HILLS, BALINTOCATOC
34 SANTIAGO CITY, ON NOVEMBER 15 -17, 2018, which may hamper the free flow of tourists
35 visiting the subject area;

37 NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Santiago in ozqc2018

38 session duly assembled, that:

40 Section 1. Title. The title of this ordinance shall be “AN ORDINANCE TEMPORARILY

42 2018, FOR THE HOLDING OF JUNIOR AND SENIOR GSP CITY CAMP 2018.”

44 Section 2. Coverage – In connection with the above-mentioned purpose, portion of
45 DARIUK HILLS, BALINTOCATOC, this City, shall be temporarily closed to general public;

2 Section 3. Duration and Time – The temporary closure shall take effect for 2 days,
3 (NOVEMBER 15 -17, 2018) pursuant to Deped-Santiago City Division Memorandum No. 362 s.
4 2018;

6 Section 4. Implementation. For purposes of this Ordinance, the Public Order and Safety
7 Department (POSD) of Santiago City, in coordination with the Officials of adjacent Barangays, is
8 hereby assigned to render assistance with the support of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and
9 concerned civic society organizations during the conduct of the said activity.

11 Section 4. Copies. Copies of this ordinance shall be forwarded to all concerned agencies.

13 Section 5. Effectivity. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
