Jesus

Mother Mary was espoused by Joseph, before they were together it was announced that she
had become pregnant of the Holy Spirit. Joseph, her husband, being a just man and unwilling
to disgrace her, put her away secretly. He was astonished and doubtful, though.

While he was considering his situation an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream and told him,
" Joseph son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in
her is the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you shall call him Jesus, because he will
save your people from their sins“. When Joseph woke up he did as the angel of the Lord
commanded him, and took Mary as his wife.

In those days a decree from Caesar Augustus, ordered the whole empire be enrolled. All went
to be registered everyone to his own town city. Then Joseph, being of the house and lineage of
David, went to the city of David called Bethlehem, in Judea, to be enrolled and he did so with
Mary as his spouse.

The time for Mary to give birth came. There were several inns where they went asking for host,
they all refused to help but in the fourth attempt an inn keeper offered them a stable where
many animals were as shelter.

Some Shepherds, who spent the night outdoors shifts ensuring their flock, were visited by an
angel who suddenly appeared and said, "Don’t be afraid, I came to announce great news: there
should be of great joy for all the people today in the city of David your savior is born, the
Masias, the Lord.

You will see a signal and you will find a baby Lord wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.
“Suddenly an army of the heavenly hosts, said: "Glory to God in the highest and peace on earth
to men of good will”. Immediately after these words they went to look for the signal as
announced.

At the same time three Magician from the east arrived in Jerusalem, asking, "Where is the king
of the Jews that has been born? For we have seen his star in the east and we are here to
worship him." This news made King Herod very angry. The Magi guided by the star had no
problem at the end finding the manger where Mary was looking after baby Jesus who was lying
accompanied by the animals, with plenty of excitement and affection the three men kneeled
down to offer the Baby Lord gold, frankincense and myrrh.
 ROLE PLAY
Scene 1 (The Angel appear)
(Narrator enters)
Narrator: In the days of Herod, king of Judaea, a grateful success occurred.
The angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town in Galilee, named Nazareth, to
a virgin who was to be married to a man named Joseph, of the family of David;
and the name of the virgin was Mary. And the angel came in to her and said:
Angel: Peace be with you, to whom special grace has been given; the Lord is
with you.
Narrator: But she was greatly troubled at his words, and said :
Mary: What may be the purpose of these words?
Angel: Have no fear, Mary, for you have God's approval. And see, you will give
birth to a son, and his name will be Jesus.
Mary: How may this be, because I have had no knowledge of a man?
Angel: The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will
come to rest on you, and so that which will come to birth will be named holy,
Son of God.
Mary: I am the servant of the Lord; may it be to me as you say.
(And the angel went away.)

Scene 2 (Outside the town)

Narrator Hear ye, hear ye. Caesar Augustus declares that there will be a census.
Everyone will be counted and must return to their native towns. Let this be
known to everyone!

(The narrator exits, and Joseph and Mary (pregnant) enter)

Joseph Mary, I know you are heavy with child, but we must go to Bethlehem for the
census.

Mary Yes Joseph. I think I can travel and I know the Lord will be with us in this
journey.

(Joseph and Mary pack up and start their journey. They walk over to the first inn and knock
at the door. Innkeepers are behind doors.)

1st Innkeeper Yes, I'm coming. Hold on.

Joseph We have been traveling for a long time, do you have a room for us?
1st Innkeeper I am very sorry, but there is no more room here. Try next door.

(Joseph and Mary walk over to the next inn, and knock at the door.)

2nd InnkeeperI am so sorry, if you are looking for a place to stay we are completely booked
here. Try next door.

(Joseph and Mary walked to the next inn and they barely get to the door when the 3rd
Innkeeper comes out.)

3rd Innkeeper Unbelievable, this place is almost wall to wall with people. (He looks at Mary
with compassion) I don’t think you will find any room available in this town.
But you should not be traveling any more this late in the evening. If you don't
mind, you could get some rest in my stable out back. It isn’t the most
comfortable place, but at least there will be a roof over your head. And the
animals are wonderful, they will not bother you.

Joseph My wife must have some rest. The stable will be fine.

3rd Innkeeper Well then, follow me

(The Innkeeper steps aside and leads Joseph and Mary to the stable, then all Innkeepers
exit)

Scene 2 (Inside a stable)

(Joseph helps Mary sit down on the floor and then begins to prepare a bed for them.)

Joseph I know God is with us. It is much better to sleep here than outside.

Mary Joseph, I don’t feel very well. I am really tired and I am having this pain. I
think it’s time for the baby to be born.

Joseph Please Mary, lie down here on this nice bed I prepared. It won't be long now.

Scene 3 (A field)

(Narrator enters)

Narrator Meanwhile, some shepherds were tending their flocks at night when suddenly
an angel appears right before them

(Angels enter. While the angels speak, Mary wraps the baby Jesus in cloth and lays Him in a
trough.)

Angel 1 Behold, I bring goods news of a great joy. For today, in the city of David there
is born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign for
 you, you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.

All Angels Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace among men with whom He is
pleased.

Shepherd 1 Let’s go to Bethlehem and see what the Lord has told us about.

Shepherd 2 Let’s tell our friends and we all go. Praise God for this Good News. Come on
it’s a long journey.

Narrator And so the shepherds, after hearing the angels, went to visit the Baby. Some
time later, three Magi saw a bright star in the sky

(Narrator exits and Magi enter. Star is displayed)

1st Magi (Pointing to the star) Look, a star. Look how bright it is!

2nd Magi (Looking at the star) It is the sign. The wonderful sign. The King of the Jews is
born!

3rd Magi Let us go and worship Him. Gifts, we need gifts!

1st Magi I know what I can give Him. I will give Him gold, for his Royalty.

2nd Magi My gift will be special. It will be myrrh.

3rd Magi Frankincense will be my gift. Let us put them in special boxes, to honor thy as
the King is.

(The three Magi each place their gift into a treasure box. Narrator enters. Then Magi walk
over to the stable while looking at the star. Mary takes the child and holds him in her arms.)

Scene 4 (Inside a stable)

(Narrator enters)

Narrator And so the Magi found their King, by following the star. When they arrived
they bowed down, worshiped the King, and offered their gifts to him.

(The Magi slowly place their gifts in front of Mary, look at the baby and then they bow down.
Then Angels enter)

Angels Glory to God in the Highest and on earth peace among men!

La madre María fue desposada por José, antes de que estuvieran juntos, se anunció que había
quedado embarazada del Espíritu Santo. José, su marido, siendo un hombre justo y no
queriendo deshonrarla, la dejó en secreto. Sin embargo, estaba asombrado y dudoso.

Mientras él consideraba su situación, un ángel del Señor apareció en un sueño y le dijo: "José,
hijo de David, no temas llevarte a María, tu esposa, porque lo que se concibe en ella es el
Espíritu Santo. Ella te dará dar a luz a un hijo, y lo llamarás Jesús, porque él salvará a tu pueblo
de sus pecados ". Cuando José se despertó, hizo lo que el ángel del Señor le había ordenado, y
tomó a María como su esposa.

En aquellos días, un decreto de César Augusto ordenó que todo el imperio fuera inscrito. Todos
fueron registrados a todos a su propia ciudad. Entonces José, que pertenecía a la casa y al
linaje de David, fue a la ciudad de David llamada Belén, en Judea, para inscribirse, y lo hizo con
María como esposa.

Llegó el momento de que María diera a luz. Hubo varias posadas donde fueron a pedir host,
todos se negaron a ayudar, pero en el cuarto intento, un posadero les ofreció un establo donde
había muchos animales como refugio.

Algunos pastores, que pasaron la noche haciendo turnos al aire libre asegurando su rebaño,
fueron visitados por un ángel que apareció repentinamente y dijo: "No tengan miedo, vine a
anunciar grandes noticias: debería haber una gran alegría para todas las personas hoy en día".
Nace la ciudad de David, tu salvador, el Masías, el Señor.

Verá una señal y encontrará a un bebé Lord envuelto en paños y acostado en un pesebre. "De
repente, un ejército de los ejércitos celestiales dijo:" Gloria a Dios en lo más alto y paz en la
tierra a los hombres de buena voluntad ". Inmediatamente después de estas palabras, fueron a
buscar la señal como se anunció.

Al mismo tiempo, tres magos del este llegaron a Jerusalén y preguntaron: "¿Dónde está el rey
de los judíos que ha nacido? Porque hemos visto su estrella en el este y estamos aquí para
adorarlo". Esta noticia hizo muy enojado al rey Herodes. Los Reyes Magos guiados por la
estrella no tuvieron ningún problema al encontrar el pesebre donde María cuidaba al niño
Jesús, que yacía acompañado de los animales, con mucho entusiasmo y afecto. Los tres
hombres se arrodillaron para ofrecerle al Señor del Bebé oro, incienso y mirra.

Escena 1 (aparece el ángel)
(Narrador entra)
Narrador: En los días de Herodes, rey de Judea, se produjo un éxito agradecido. El ángel Gabriel
fue enviado de Dios a una ciudad en Galilea, llamada Nazaret, a una virgen que iba a casarse
con un hombre llamado José, de la familia de David; y el nombre de la virgen era María. Y el
ángel entró a ella y le dijo:
Ángel: La paz sea contigo, a quien se le ha dado una gracia especial; El Señor está contigo.
Narrador: Pero ella estaba muy preocupada por sus palabras, y dijo:
María: ¿Cuál puede ser el propósito de estas palabras?
Ángel: No temas, María, porque tienes la aprobación de Dios. Y mira, darás a luz un hijo, y su
nombre será Jesús.
María: ¿Cómo puede ser esto, porque no he tenido conocimiento de un hombre?
Ángel: El Espíritu Santo vendrá sobre ti, y el poder del Altísimo vendrá sobre ti, y lo que nacerá
será nombrado santo, Hijo de Dios.
María: yo soy la sierva del Señor; Que sea para mí como dices.
(Y el ángel se fue.)

Escena 2 (fuera de la ciudad)

Narrador Oye, oye. César Augusto declara que habrá un censo. Todos serán contados y deberán
regresar a sus pueblos nativos. ¡Que esto sea conocido por todos!

(Sale el narrador y entran José y María (embarazada))

Joseph Mary, sé que estás cargado de niños, pero debemos ir a Belén para el censo.

María sí José. Creo que puedo viajar y sé que el Señor estará con nosotros en este viaje.

(José y María empacan y comienzan su viaje. Caminan hasta la primera posada y llaman a la
puerta. Los posaderos están detrás de las puertas).

1er posadero sí, ya voy. Espere.

Joseph Llevamos mucho tiempo viajando, ¿tienes un cuarto para nosotros?

1er posadero, lo siento mucho, pero no hay más espacio aquí. Intenta al lado.

(José y María caminan hacia la posada siguiente y llaman a la puerta.)

Segundo gerente lo siento, si estás buscando un lugar para alojarte, estamos completamente
reservados aquí. Intenta al lado.

(Joseph y Mary caminaron hasta la posada siguiente y apenas llegan a la puerta cuando sale el
tercer posadero).

Increíble posadero Increíble, este lugar es casi de pared a pared con personas. (Él mira a Mary
con compasión) No creo que encuentre ninguna habitación disponible en esta ciudad. Pero ya
no deberías viajar más tarde en la noche. Si no te importa, puedes descansar un poco en mi
establo. No es el lugar más cómodo, pero al menos habrá un techo sobre tu cabeza. Y los
animales son maravillosos, no te molestarán.

José mi mujer debe descansar un poco. El establo estará bien.

Tercer posadero Pues bien, sígueme

(El posadero se hace a un lado y lleva a Joseph y Mary al establo, luego salen todos los
posaderos)

Escena 2 (dentro de un establo)

(José ayuda a María a sentarse en el suelo y luego comienza a preparar una cama para ellos).

José, sé que Dios está con nosotros. Es mucho mejor dormir aquí que afuera.

Mary Joseph, no me siento muy bien. Estoy muy cansado y tengo este dolor. Creo que es hora
de que nazca el bebé.

Joseph, por favor Mary, acuéstate aquí en esta linda cama que preparé. No pasará mucho
tiempo ahora.

Escena 3 (campo A)

(Narrador entra)

Narrador Mientras tanto, algunos pastores cuidaban sus rebaños en la noche cuando de
repente un ángel aparece justo delante de ellos.

(Los ángeles entran. Mientras los ángeles hablan, María envuelve al bebé Jesús en una tela y lo
acuesta en un abrevadero.)

Ángel 1 He aquí, os traigo noticias de una gran alegría. Hoy, en la ciudad de David, nace para ti
un Salvador, que es Cristo el Señor. Y esta será la señal para usted, encontrará un bebé envuelto
en paños y acostado en un pesebre.

Todos los ángeles se gloria a Dios en la paz más elevada y en la tierra entre los hombres con
quienes Él está complacido.

Pastor 1 Vayamos a Belén y veamos lo que el Señor nos ha dicho.

Pastor 2 Vamos a decirle a nuestros amigos y todos vamos. Alabemos a Dios por esta Buena
Nueva. Vamos, es un largo viaje.

Narrador Y así, los pastores, después de escuchar a los ángeles, fueron a visitar al Bebé. Algún
tiempo después, tres Reyes Magos vieron una estrella brillante en el cielo.

(Narrador sale y Magi entra. Se muestra la estrella)

Primero Magos (Señalando a la estrella) Mira, una estrella. ¡Mira qué brillante es!

2º Magos (Mirando a la estrella) Es el signo. La señal maravillosa. ¡El Rey de los judíos ha
nacido!

3ros Magos Vamos y adorémosle. Regalos, necesitamos regalos!

Primero Magos, sé lo que puedo darle. Le daré oro, por su realeza.

2º Magos Mi regalo será especial. Será mirra.

Los 3ros magos de incienso serán mi regalo. Pongámoslos en cajas especiales, para honrar a tu
Rey como es.

(Los tres Reyes Magos colocan su regalo en un cofre del tesoro. La narradora entra. Luego, los
Reyes Magos caminan hacia el establo mientras miran la estrella. María toma al niño y lo
sostiene en sus brazos).

Escena 4 (dentro de un establo)

(Narrador entra)

Narrador Y así los Magos encontraron a su Rey, siguiendo a la estrella. Cuando ellos llegaron

inclinaron, adoraron al rey y le ofrecieron sus regalos.

(Los Magos colocan lentamente sus regalos frente a María, miran al bebé y luego se inclinan.
Luego entran los Ángeles)

¡Ángeles, gloria a Dios en lo más alto y en la tierra, paz entre los hombres!
