Admission Requirements for Transfer Students

Estimated Minimum CGPA Ranges and Prerequisite Coursework required for University Transfer
Applicants

At McGill, university transfer applications to all programs are considered on the basis of space available.

Admission is competitive; therefore, transfer applicants should demonstrate well above-average academic performance in their university/college work, as well as in
their prior studies. Performance should be strong overall and in the prerequisite courses associated with the McGill program sought. Prerequisites must be
university-level, cover specific subjects, and include labs (in the case of science courses). For details, refer to our website.

In an effort to best inform prospective transfer applicants, we have provided in the table below the estimated minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA)
ranges and prerequisite coursework required for University Transfer applicants to McGill University. This is based on admission data from 2009 to 2015. Applicants
with grades equal to or higher than those listed are encouraged to apply; however, please note that possession of these academic requirements does not guarantee
admission.

The majority of admission decisions on transfer applications are made in late May and June.
