teeth.
Chemical Digestion:

Ans: Role of Large Intestine: -
Large intestine plays a very important role in digestion.
Region:
It is fatter than the small intestine and is located inside our body.
Size:
It is approximately 1.5meter long.
Functions:
In large intestine remaining water and salt are removed from
the undigested stuff and absorb in the blood. Then the digested stuff is
pushed to rectum where it is stored as feces or stool.
It stays there until you need to go to bathroom to pass out through anus.

Q: 3 How pancreas, liver and gall bladder help in our digestive system?
Ans: a) Pancreas: -
Pancreas produce juice known as pancreatic juice, which helps to digest
carbohydrates, proteins and fats.
b) Liver:
Liver is also a digestive organ which is located near to heart.
Functions:
It produces a juice called bile which mixes with food. Bile
acid dissolves fats into watery contents of the intestine and kill germs.
c): Gall Bladder:
Serve as a ware house for bile. Almost all the absorption of digested food
in the blood takes place through the inner surface a small intestine, from
where it is distributed to all parts of the body passing through liver.

Q:4 Explain the term dehydration and also explain measures to prevent it?
Ans: Dehydration:
It is also called diarrhea. Diarrhea or dehydration means loss
of water, minerals and salts from the body.
In Children:
When children are suffered with diarrhea or frequent vomiting, this can cause loss of
water and minerals from their bodies and become dehydrated very quickly.
